Is that because you store it there because your house doesn't have a garage, and you don't want it in the elements?

And i think if you got, what you call "technical", maybe we could dig up some more truth here!

Zed, it was a rhetorical question. I never thought for a second that you would choose being independent and having your own place over buying a car that is worth less money today than it was even two weeks ago. Only someone who was 18 or older would have made the mature decision.

But hey, you have a cool car! So you are not a complete waste

Mr. halfass872,

There are many other honorable things that people can do in addition to the
ones you have mentioned, I have done both on your list, however having mom and dad pay my bills for me is not something that I consider honorable.
If you can not afford to pay for what you drive then you should wait untill
you can. Personally, I know I don't get up in the morning to go to work so I
can pay someone elses bills.

Why are you comparing yourself to a 17 year old that is probably still in high school? You are a grown *** man and should be on your own at this point. Don't come in here bragging about chit a normal man just does.

Soooooooo why the f' would you needlessly spend money on a $23,000 car yet still live with your parents? When you could have a $3,000 dollar car paid in full, with 1/3 the insurance cost, and have your own place? WTF?

The chicks may dig you because of the car, but the stinky finger is all you are gonna come home with once they find out you need to go back to her place to lay pipe because you can't wake your parents! This screams "self made" as you call it.

This assumes you aren't still paying for the 07 Accord you "used to have". That some how you either sold, or traded in but some how ended up breaking even.

Why do you feel the need to keep bringing up other people? Just focus on your own shortcomings.

Paying a bill you create for yourself is NOT honorable at all, it's just normal. You make a bill, you pay it. Is it honorable that people eat at a restaurant and then pay the bill before leaving? Just because the opposite of something is dishonorable doesn't mean that doing the normal thing is honorable. I know, it's one of those weird things in our society/language.

I agree that actually paying for something yourself is better than taking a handout, however there isn't much to brag about when you buy a car and still live at home or in dorms/housing that someone else pays for.

Probably because YOU made it a point to tell everyone your age and talk about your job.

Guys relax, some of you make yourselves look so foolish trying to admonish a kid for his choices, any mature person would understand that the best way to learn and evolve through life is to make choices for yourself and learn from them directly- whether they are considered good or bad. If the kid made a bad choice it's for him to learn on his own, not for you to get angry at him out of resentment, spite, or any other reason- and if it's what he wants who are you to tell him how he ought to live his life?

Seriously, you guys come in a thread to condemn a kid for his choices, and yet it's only you that come off looking foolish and immature in the end. No amount of projecting your burdens onto this kid will make your lives any easier or less difficult, give it up, I understand that not all of us had things given to us growing up but that's not a reason to hold contempt towards anyone else.

Not allowing others to pay your bills for you is an honorable thing to do, for a young person. I find it very dishonorable for an adult to pay his bills with someone else's money. But that's just me, some of you might find this very honorable for some odd reason.: icon22:

I think what illjim69 was trying to say is that the "honorable" thing to have done was to not create this huge (23K at 19yo) bill in the first place.
