Default 06' 350Z Base, worth the price?

Hey guys, I'm new and have been researching the Z for quite awhile. Recently, I found a 2006 Z Base model (MT) for $14K. It has 53000 miles on it. Obviously the 06 model has the oil consumption problems, and the base model has no TCS and Cruise Control, but do you think this is a good value. KBB lists the value as appropriate though. What do you guys think?

Can you take the Vin down to your local dealer and see if he can run it for you. Service records should be available there. I'm not sure if they'll do it for you(my local Porsche audi dealer will do it for me) By 53000 miles, that would've shown up I believe.Good luck

Sorry wrong forum. This is where we say “Congratulations!” to new 350Z owners.

I figured that out already. Where should it have gone then bro? General section? I'm just asking if you would pay that much, that's it? Excellent condition, silver, 06, MT,...

06 is a good year if it doesnt have a OC problem.I have a 06.5 manual and havent had a single problem with it,no window issues and the tranny shifts smooth in all gears..mine is a base also.Alot of people here will advise you not to get a base but I like having a raw sports car.

I'm gonna go with the clearly labled "buying/leasing" section.

if you say on this forum get use to the flames. but anyway sounds like a fair deal. just drive it and make sure it's what you won't. i bought a 05 with 12,000
on it six months ago for 19,995 worth every penny imo.

How are we flaming him? He's not a new owner, and he didn't take the time to post in the correct section, so we called him out. Why must we spoon feed every noob that doesn't care to take the time to use the forum as it's intended to be used? It's not that f'n hard!

Its cool. "Before" shopping figure which models best fit your needs. No point in a good deal on a Base if the Base does not fit your needs.
