Default I'm in love...

Hi everybody!! I'm Mike, 28, and i've been lurking on the forums on and off for years. I've been in love with this car since i drove it in 03 but couldn't afford it. I have an addiction....however....

I'm proud to say i finally bought my first 350Z last weekend(2/19/10)! Daytona Blue, 6MT, gray interior, leather, heated seats, bLose audio, no nav. 62K Miles, came with winter tires mounted (blizaks) and a set of Toyo proxes 4's on the side. both sets are damn near brand new.

Completely stock except there has been some exhaust work done. Sounds really good though, low kinda rumbly at the bottom with a bit of a higher note at higher RPMs but quiet while cruising, not bad rasping....

My old man is a Nissan master tech and i gave him the VIN. all warranty issues have been taken care of with the exception of the syncros. His advice was: talk them down and start saving, your gonna need a new trans. i did and the cost of the tires alone justify doing the trans.

Clutch is a bit worn but thats fine wit me, i want the nismo flywheel and clutch.

mods to come after the clutch/flywheel: JWT PC, Plenum spacer, test pipes, 3.9 final drive, and maybe a lightweight pulley. lookin for the GO before the SHOW this year....

Thanks for reading, i look forward being a part of this awesome dedication to the modern Z.

Welcome. I've always been fond of that color. The first thing I'd do with that Z is switch out the hatch carpet. What was the previous owner luggin' around back there? The stains look terrible.

you know, the carpet in the hatch never came up...i was too worried about other issues i didn't take notice to details of the trunk other then the struts holding the hatch didn't hold it up.

Struts are a common problem. Not just on our cars, it's just the nature of the struts. There is a vendor on here that sells them for about half what you'd pay for OEM.

Congrats on the car. Looks just like the one I had.

I have the same color combo. But mine's an 06 and 5AT. Either way, I love reading these threads. Reminds me of how happy I was.

Nice, love the DB color. The frost interior compliments it nicely.

You got a really rare interior color on one of the nicest factory Z paint colors! Good buy!

Now time to put on some suspension mods, wheels, sticky tires, breathing mods & a tune!

Not stains in the carpet guys. Dealers stripe the carpet when vacuuming, for effect.

They're talking about the tan carpet. Definitely stains.
