Default It’s about time

Welcome to my first post and it’s fitting that it be here in the “New Owners” section of the forum. I’m the proud owner of a new to me 2003 350Z Daytona Blue Touring and one hell of a machine. I recently graduated up from a 1995 Honda Accord LX and my smile just keeps growing the more I drive her.

Allow me to shed a little light on my situation and why owning this Z is so enriching for me.

I’m 27 and have owned this 1995 Accord for the past 100K, or 10 long years. I’ve been itching to drive something with “nuts”, something more “me”! My accord got me through high school, college, and well into the professional world where I should have retired it then, at the beginning…but couldn’t pull the trigger. (I didn’t want the debt) Nothing like driving clients around in lowered riced out Accord! LOL

I never envisioned myself owning a Z, I’ll be honest…the car was about 4-6K over my price range, but one fell into my lap and I knew it, “must be”! Oh and it was! My dad works for a credit union and recently repoed the Z I now own. The car hit the auction block and I had the option to outbid the highest bidder by$100…next thing I know the car is sitting in my driveway. I couldn’t be happier! 55K, xenon headlights, rear wing, heated seats, and in need of a solid detailing!

I sold the Accord over the weekend for my asking price to a kid well deserving of a great entry level car. I have to admit, it was touch seeing that car go!

Anyways, I look forward to getting involved in the forum, attending events, and sharing the passion with everyone here!

I know I know...I wasn't too happy about it either, but she's got everything else I've ever wanted in my next car. I do a ton of commuting in traffic and I'm sure later it will be a blessing.

I'm far from rice and will only be looking into functional mods to improve performance (brakes, wheels, and suspension). Due to the automatic, I suspect my engine bay will remain clean and stock.

Yup, wheels are going the moment I get a few other pressing matters cleared up. We'll see about the auto...only time will tell.

Wow, sounds exactly like my situation. 1997 Nissan Maxima for the past 6 long years, got me through University and the past couple years of working but I'm looking for something more "me" now. I'll be joining you one of these days.

Great choice on the car! Looks fantastic.

not bad at all. those wheels dont look that bad. people who buy Z's and not thinking twice about being able to afford one can learn from you. its nice to read about someone thinking about thier future first before trying to look cool.
