After a 10 Year Hiatus, I've Got Another Z in the Stable
Well, after a 10 year break, I am officially a Z owner again. My previous Z was a 95’ NA 300ZX which I had up until 2000. I was a regular on TwinTurbo.net for several years (posted under Jeff M). As usual, after some time with the NA, the need for more power kicked in so I began my search for a clean 95’ TT 300Z. This quest was cut short after driving a friend’s MKIV Supra. I promptly bought my 94’ Supra and sold the NA Z within 3 hours of putting it up for sale.
Over the past few weeks I got an itch to pickup an inexpensive ride to daily drive/putt around in and decided a Z would fit the bill. Spent a couple of weeks looking and ended up getting a bone stock 04’ PPW Touring with 6spd and black interior. The car has 50K miles on it and is in great condition. I test drove one other car before buying this one. All in all, I’m very happy with the car. It drives a lot better than I anticipated it would. Very solid ride and very comparable to my wife’s old G35 coupe we sold a few years ago.
Since this car will simply be used as a second daily driver, I will not be modifying it outside of a few cosmetic upgrades such as adding the newer tail lights, an aftermarket Navi unit and perhaps swapping out the wagon wheels for the newer 06’+ OEM style. I did replace the antenna with the Acura one already and I also put some Dynamat in the doors, roof and hatch area. I bought the Dynamat before even buying the car based on people’s gripes about excessive interior noise in the Z. It seemed to help some but I don’t think the noise was too bad to begin with.
Anyhow, that’s my story. I don’t have any pics at the moment since it’s been raining the past 4 days. Once it clears up I’ll be sure to post some although is simply a stock Z.

Here are a couple of shots of the Z. (I'm not the best photographer) I didn't get the chance to wash it yet but I did muster the energy to Lexol the seats so I guess I did something.
For those requesting more pics of the other cars, I'll throw a thread up in the "Other Cars" section a little later.
Should I swap out the wagon wheels for some 06'+ wheels?
