Hey everybody, new to the forums and I just got my first 350z a couple weeks ago! It's an '03 Touring and I love it!! I traded in my '98 Camaro (v6) and man is it fast compared to the 'maro lol. It already had the rims, and a fujita short ram intake when I got it. I blacked out the tail lights/back turn signals and added the new antenna so far! Tell me what you guys think! Oh and I took the pics with my phone camera so quality isn't the greatest!

 

forget what you learned during "'maro" modding and take off those taillight tints

suggestions:
- '06 + LED taillights
- remove the weaksauce wheels. either go to stock or get something a little more aggressive.. something with a lower offset around +15 to +22
- usually most air intakes are crappy and sap power.. i would find an oem air box.. you could throw in some drop-in filters if you have the impulse to modify something

 

...thanks? I sensed some judgement from that. I never did "maro modding," I appreciate the suggestions but I like the way it looks and I think the rims are awesome, much much better than the stock ones IMO and I like the way the tail lights look as well..

 

Welcome and congrads...to each his own if you like it then keep it, at the end of the day it's your car and your tastes. Enjoy the car and don't forget the driver mod, in the long run it's the best thing you could ever do for your car!

Lol, driver mod its when you replace the driver of the car... Don't pay attention to that

Its when you modify the driver... not replace the driver. Get some time behind the wheel and improve your driving abilities, That is the best modification you can make.

I agree tho, It is your car so do whatever makes you happy. Some people on here just try and force their opinions down your throat.

It's all about seat time, take the time to safely learn the limits of your car and learn everything that it has to offer. Once you know your cars potential and limits you can enjoy her that much more. From there you can do meaningful mods and actually appriciate the difference in performance. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of your z, it really is a great car!

Thanks everybody! That's funny about replacing the driver, but that makes sense to get a feel for it and everything. I've been continually finding myself needing to constantly run errands or go to the gas station just so I can drive the Z more. My buddy works for the turnpike so he got me on there free and I drove it about 100 mph just to see how it handled and it was smooth as a dream
