Default New Owner, 03 Touring Spec

Hey All,

New owner here, all the way from Auckland, New Zealand. Just bought an 03 touring spec, 6MT (although I'm fairly sure all the touring spec are manual).

Got the metallic bronze paint, came with a few extra goodies
  • 19inch black rims, staggered
  • Stillen dual exhaust system
  • Nismo intake

Unsure about cat's and headers because the previous owner was also unsure, will get it on a hoist and have a look when I get the time.

Immediate purchase will be a Motordyne plenum spacer, then maybe a few more exhaust components depending on what I see when I lift it up, and finally a good dyno tune.

My only concern is that I am noticing the beginnings of the apparently well known "3rd gear grind" synchro issue. I did not notice this during the test drive because I did not want to thrash the gearbox in front of the current owner (lesson learned, when you test drive, cane it!).

Other than that stoked to be in the car, a very nice upgrade from my old 1.8 Impreza!

Look forward to learning a lot from these boards

Regards

Ty

Edit: On second thought, forget about the spacer. Just had a poke around and got some pics off the net, looks like it already has a spacer of some sort. Looks like at least one of the previous owners knew what they were doing...

I got the touring and it's an automatic. That color is the nicest
