My 03 touring has the buttons on the steering wheel.
Possibly,your Z is a enthusiast...base model...no cruise control?
But,all dash/gauge layouts are the same for all models...has cruise light
installed but not activated on your model.

you most likely have a base model.... just because you see a the cruise light dosent mean you have cruise control. think about it. why would nissan make a "special" display that excluded those words

give us some pics so that we can help. All the base model cars didnt have cruise control and the way to tell was that there were no switch or buttons on the steering wheel. It is possible that someone changed the steering wheel and in that case you would need a new wheel or figure out how to wire in the switches to turn the cruise on and off. I'm sure someone here has done it with an aftermarket wheel and retained the cruise functionality.

This is NOT a "problem". Like the OP, you most likely have a base model Z33- it didn't come with VDC, traction control or cruise.

I wouldn't worry about it if you haven't got it, its nothing major. In he two and a half years I've owned my 350Z I've hardly used it anyway.
