Default FINALLY got my Z!

Just wanted to say whats up to everyone. I've always had an affinity for Nissans, and I can now proudly say that I finally own one! Yesterday I traded-in for a 2003 Silverstone Performance and I absolutely love it.

I traded-in my 2006 Rx-8 GT, and before that I owned an 03.5 Mazdaspeed Protege. I was referred to this particular forum by the guys in my local cartuner forum. I look forward to doing my best to contribute, even though for a while i'll prolly just be lurking around and asking a few questions haha.

Here's what I've been driving...

Welcome from a former Rotary owner. How do you like the REAL torque!? I miss the 8s styling sometimes until I look at my Z. Plans for mods?

First off, thanks to EVERYONE for the welcomes!

haha i feel you, i got compliments everytime I was out in the rx8, but so far the Z is getting just as many! And man how I missed torque... having that extra 110 ft-lbs is heavenly

thanks, i've been a member on many forums through the years, so Im pretty up on forum etiquette, however as I am new on here, so I am sure i'll get it for something!

Also, I happened to smell burning and see some smoke coming from my car over the last few days, and when I peered under I noticed a collection of oil behind the driver's side wheel, on the chassis and control arm... could this be the 6th cylinder tube seal you're talking about? I haven't changed the oil in her yet, so i dont know if thats just remnants from unscrewing the oil filter or something...

Mods will be pretty typical for starters... I just got home from getting the windows tinted... right now I am researching exhaust set-ups but need to sell the exhaust off of the rx-8 first... I am also itching to get my rims on but need to get 2 new tires first... is there a particular thread here where I can simply ask members what size to get or if a particular one will work?

haha, hell, I'll just ask it here and maybe someone can approve or at least link me to the right place (I checked the common tire sizes in the 100 questions thread, wasn't sure if there was an independent thread for more particular wheel questions yet)... I have 19x8.5 Axis Hiros, 2 of which have fresh 255/35/19 rubber, from my research it looks like if I get 235/35/19 up front I will not upset the VDC and maintain the feel of the stock handling... confirmations before i drop all that cash on new tires/TPMS transfer?? Thanks all...

heres a pic of the freshy window tint 20%... was debating the visor tint for a minute but decided it might be too much with everything else on the car so stock.

a few other things ill be working on for the rest of the weekend...

1. New Head Unit since the stock (non-bose/Performance model) seems to like eating my cd's
2. Troubleshoot why the speaker on the driver's side sound bar isn't working
3. my driver's side parking lights only go on when i tap the headlight, so I have to remove that and check for loose connections/replace bulb
4. Install that goofy dash cupholder
5. Pop on my voodoo shift ****

Busy with alot of little things. I'm sure they will all cause some sort of headache along the way, simply becuase thats the way cars are, but here goes!
