Default New Z Owner in Virginia

Hello all, just bought myself a used (new to me) White 2003 350Z with 79K miles on it. Will post some pics soon. I have been a big car guy for a long time with alot of background in the MR2 Spyder and Several 240SX and 3000GT's. I'm hoping to be as active as i can be on the forums here as I work at building and enjoying my new toy. I however am Active Duty Navy so may seem to come and go from time to time...

Thanks for the welcome, and i just uploaded some pics i will post now... Carfax shows car was orriginally from Cali but spent most of it's life in Georga before finding it's way to a dealer here in Virginia, and I being from chicago orriginally am glad t never saw the midwest salt... Anyways it's in really clean shape for a 8 year old car minus some scuffs on the wheels, and discoloring of the headlights. I was just reading about how to tell what trim level it is, and it Has the HID's but i don't remember seeing a TCS button so i'll have to go look here in a few min... Anyways on to the pics of the Z

Not really sure if it's stock height or not, there isn't much gap between wheels and fenders but at the moment i don't have another car around to compare it to.

And due to request here are some pics of my old Spyder, saddly i do not have pics of the 3000GT on my computer at the moment...

Spyder had All basic Boltons, I\H\E Coilovers, full bracing, and and alot of weight reduction, it lated had a roll bar, seats and 5 points in it but i don't have any pics with that installed...

Welcome to the forum..........! I searched the beach area for a Z myself but didnt find what I wanted.Your white Z looks good. From the looks of the steering wheel you have a base model.you might have been lucky enough to get some upgrades, regardless it's a Zee!

Again thanks for the welcomes! I am ok with it being a base, i plan to mod the hell out of it anyways only thing that the base is missing that i would care about is the LSD (i may be mistaken still learning about the Z's) but i can always put one in later...

Nice Car, Welcome.. Looks like you are lucky enough to not have the front license plate bracket installed. Most of the cars in VA already have one. I think it looks alot cleaner without it. Then again, they might mess with you getting on the Base/Shipyard or whatever Naval installation gate you may go through.

Lol yea not shure who owns the mustang but i agree it was just parked next to me when I came out to the car. And yes not having the front bracket is nice and they did tell me I should get one but not that I had to in order to get on the base. As far as what I paid for it it was 14.9

Supposedly, all the Naval installations are switching to focusing on the driver's credentials vs the DOD sticker, inspection sticker, and the front license plate stickers. When they make the change, I plan on ditching my front VA plate and maybe getting a new bumper without the bracket. Until then, I will keep my stupid looking stock front bumper with my stupid front license plate bracket. If I had your undrilled front bumper, I would at least put the front license plate on the dash when going through the gate until that changes...

I have been on the base here for a little over a month now, and they never said anything about no front plate on my old car, and so far so good with the Z as well. I plan to save up some money and look into getting the Nismo kit if i can find it or somthing similar and looking into getting the paint cleaned up (as the car has it's fair share of small scratches) closer to the winter. If you are looking for a non drilled bumper by that time since it looks like you're not that far away let me know I should have this one just sitting around by then....
