Nope, I was working at a day camp when I drove the IROC. I sold it to these guys that said they restore Camaros, but they're mechanics.

I have a question about the 08 though. Did you ever put anything in your cubby or did you just replace your radio?

i had a lil crappy gps in there then i upgraded to a all in one head unit ripped out the gps and started making a custom fiberglass gauge pod to hold my wideband and somthing else

 

I'm just asking because I want one of those dvd/gps/hands-free/hd/satellite radio touch screens but I see a lot of Z owners choose to put them in the radio spot and ignore the cubby.

 

There's a lot more mounting depth to work with in the radio spot than in the cubby.

When I talk about my car, I never say that she's fast. There are too many faster cars out here, but I will say that she's quick... and I always say that she's fun to drive.

I drove the car home today. My first thought on the highway, I can't hear the blinker from all the road noise, but I can't believe I'm driving the same car I was playing GT5 with yesterday. I love this car.

Today I feel like I got the right seat position, but now I gotta get used to the clutch and shifter, though I did get a few heel to toe's in already. The thing I feel will take a while to get used to is the situational awareness, IMO I'm sitting too close to the mirrors to see behind me.

I've been driving the car for almost a week now. I got stuck in traffic for an hour yesterday, and I loved it. I had A/C, a nice sound system, and a V6 engine to amuse myself with. Also, I went to the bar the other night where some motorsport club members hang out, and they told me no one had as nice a car in their group. I'm thinking of joining. One thing I didn't understand though, I don't turn as many heads on the road as I thought I would...I guess New Yorkers are tired of red sports cars? That can't be it, I think my car is rare.

 

You'll turn heads if you fit it with some nice wheels and have bigger disks and brakes peeking through, well probably anyway. I wish I had got red instead of black but no regrets.
