Joined My350Z almost 9 years ago, and finally bought one.
Thanks everybody.
I did a LOT of stuff since 2003: moved across the country, got married and paid off the wedding, paid off my wife's old medical bills, bought and furnished a house, saved a dog we found in the street, and bought and paid off a practical car. As awesome as the Z is, and as much as I wanted one, a RWD sportscar is fundamentally a toy, and I needed to get my other priorities in order before I could get one.
Here's the long version behind my decision:
While I was waiting, I did my homework. I considered just about every other performance vehicle out there, and the 350Z was exactly what I wanted: RWD, 6MT, available as a coupe, reliable, and not that large.
Over the years, I had driven a 2005 350Z and a 2009 370Z, and got the idea in my head that the refreshed 2007 350Z would be exactly the sweet spot between those two for refinement, performance, and value.
Once I had decided on a 2007, I had to have Solar Orange Pearl. Not only did I love the color, but I thought it was awesome that it was a "heritage" color, tracing back to the original Z.
With all of that decided, I needed to both find one and pay off my existing car, and that happened just a little over a week ago.
As soon as found mine and drove it, I knew I had to have it. The miles were also incredibly low, it had clearly been loved, and it even still smelled new inside. I probably overpaid a little, but I figured it was worth it to get EXACTLY what I wanted.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and I'm happy to be on board as an actual owner.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new ride! Very cool color, I haven't seen many of those.
But you waited 9 YEARS to finally purchase a Z?!?
I have respect for you, I'm having trouble waiting until the end of next month!
