How much would you spend for this 350?
I recently started looking for a new car and I think I decided on one of the Nissan's, either the 350 or 370. I came across a 35th anniversary 350Z with 18,000kms (11,000 miles). The description says that it is Twin APS turbo chargers, racing clutch, tuneable racing suspension, exhaust, among many other things. Says $25,000 worth of performance upgrades.
The Car has been stored inside and is otherwise mint. He has it listed for 40k, which seems a bit steep to me, but I am just looking to get some insight from you guys who will know much more than me about these cars and what it costs to get them to the point this one is at. I am going to see it tonight and I will ask for the receipts to backup his claims.
There is a 2007 with 10000kms (6200 miles) for $29,000 which states 12k in upgrades.
Most of the other 350Z's are selling around the 15-22K mark up here.
Thanks
Mitch

do you have the listing with the TT 350?
also, ask yourself the big question, why are you buying?
at 40K, and practically everything built and modded, you will not want to drive that thing on a regular basis..
if your looking for a weekend fun car, i would say grab a used 370..
but a little more info would be great, why your in the market, what you ultimatley want to achieve with your car, driving experience, etc..

I'm from Edmonton too. That is way too steep, I wouldn't spend anywhere near that on a 2005.
Do what I did, and keep an eye out in the winter - there are less around, but they are selling for $5000-7500 cheaper.

EDIT: People tend to think that just because they invested in a ton of performance parts, their cars are worth more. IMO that decreases value. Don't get sucked in by the typical "$XX,000 worth of ugrades."

Ultrayellow,
I am not sure what you mean by a listing with the TT 350?
I am buying as a fun toy to have along side my truck. I am looking for a quick daily driver to have fun with in the summer when I dont need to take the truck. I am in the market because I finally got my house financing out of the way and have a realistic budget that leaves room for a nice quick car that I have always wanted. I have raced Diesel trucks and actually own my own company custom tuning both GM and Dodge trucks. My personal daily driver Duramax truck will run low 13's, so I am not new to the whole quick vehicle scene.
Pretty much I want a quick car that will impress me everytime I matt it in much the same way this big truck I have does. I have spent alot of time in a 350z and although quick I do know I will be looking for more pretty quickly after purchasing one myself.
Syner,
What would you personally pay for a car like that? I am going to get more details on the upgrades that this car has tonight when I see it. This being said if I buy a 350 or 370 I will be spending the coin on turbos myself.
I have been looking at a GTR as well, but I will probably have to wait another year or so to make that work.

The extremely low mileage for the age, and the upgrades lead me to believe it was predominantly used to race. I would be very scared buying this as it was likely pushed to its limits on a regular basis.
If you are looking to modify whatever car you get, set everything up on your own. Atleast you'll know everything is done right.
Honestly, this is way too high for a 2005. For that price, look at a 370Z or newer 350Z.
Is the engine built? What are the HP numbers? When we see fully built cars in the marketplace on the site here sellers typically ask $25k-30k. $40k is too much especially if is not a fully built motor.
Syner,
I spoke to him last night and he has a bunch of high end cars (GTR, Corvette, ect). It sounds like he built it just because he could. It doesnt seem like he would be the one to race it, but again you never know.
I will get some more specs from him tonight, thanks for the heads up guys. I appreciate it.

Other than it's very, very fast and the APS turbo. The performance mods list are very vague. You would think someone who took the time building this car would be more detail oriented and specify EXACTLY what type of clutch, suspension, custom exhaust etc.
Many other upgrades... $25,000 worth doesn't cut it mang. Well, many gullible noobs probably take his words b/c of all the race cars in his garage

Hey Guys,
First off I appreciate all the help. I went to see it last night and it was your typical but clean 350Z. He had the kit installed in such a way where no exterior modification was needed to the car (no hood, no gauges on the pillar ect). He also let me look at the bill from Turner Works, and the mods were essentially limited to what I have already said. TT kit and stage 2 clutch.
Since I have you here instead of starting another thread, how does this car look pricewise? I am going to go see it tonight.
