Cool 2004 Z Custom

I am picking up a 2004 Z tonight that has all custom interior but besides that the only modifications are to rims, low profile tires and a new exhaust. My only concern with the vehicle is that the slip and ABS lights are both on. I am planning on taking it to the local Nissan dealer this weekend to run a scan and see whats wrong. Any suggestions for my first Z?!

Thank you,

LCpl Connors, USMC

Take it to the mechanic before you buy it?

I would seriously get it checked before you buy it.

Check for low brake fluid and worn brake pads.

You should have a diagnostic done on the vehicle before you buy. On most vehicles if the abs light is on the tcs light is on since tcsim uses the abs to do its joba some people pull the fuse for the abs because theyre getting faulty activations usually caused by exciter rings or wheel speed sensors which also may throw a light from time to time. If you feel the owner is honest just ask if he pulled a fuse or check yourself. You dont want to buy if its got a bad abs motor or pump unless the seller will lower the price because of it.

Don't buy it before the lights are checked out!
The slip may be do to incorrect tire sizes.
How "custom" is the interior?I'm thinkin this Z
may have 20" rims...

Welcome to the forum.

ABS lights, could even be wires worked loose under the seats.
