New here
Hey Everyone, I'm new to the forum. Worked on several Z's in the last few years and picked one up last year.
Details on it:
04' Roadster
Silverstone
No accidents and just about perfect.
31,000 miles (when purchased) 37 k now
All options except nav. Leather, heated, Bose etc....
Was bone stock, I put a new top on it, had the normal tear.
Purchased from a 74 year old gentleman who was the original owner, it was
garage kept and never driven in the elements.
All service records, window sticker, information packet etc, came with car.
All service done at dealership including tires purchased thru them.
He had only had the car above 4800 he said maybe 5 times.
I literally pretty much had to break the car in.
He purchased it when his first wife died from the showroom floor, he married again at 74 and she didnt want the car around for those reasons. I purchased it for a steal last September (kinda my mega birthday gift).
Car Plans:
19" staggered offset wheels with a good lip
Coilovers
The usual camber parts required.
Mild Exhaust (maybe a Legallis or used Nismo)
Probably a Brake upgrade (when I find used infinity or brembos)
JWT pop Charger (already installed)
Upgraded to a Pioneer Touch screen
Maybe some JDM minor things as I go
Well about me:
I am a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer for a Japanese bearing maker. Have worked on cars as a hobby and professionally for years, mainly imports.
I owned an import performance shop for years and finally got tired of the
headache of dealing with people (I'm not a people person. Imagine Sheldon
from Big Bang and and Dr. House put together, yeah thats my personality
its not people friendly, lol). So I moved forward and went back into my
career field.
Anyway thats enough for now, I've enjoyed stalking the site and finally
joined up. Located in Tennessee

Welcome!
Well thought out, intelligent first post my man.Very unusual nowadays.
My compliments.
You have some great items on your mod list.I concur that a Nismo exhaust
would be excellent if you are looking for a quality conservative system.
19's are the best in overall balance for the Z.With the roadster, you have
some limits of exterior mods that add to the car.Got to be careful not to do adds that look "clipped on".IMO,the top design(the rear)is the major drawback of the roadster.
Of course, looks great with the top dropped.Up,that rear section just fights the lines
of the design.Several makes have gotten around this by adding "wings" that pop out
when the top is up.The 370 is a bit better...not much.
Enjoy your Z!

From now on when I am at a loss for words, when stupid, moron, idiot, or any of the other words just aren't quite enough, I think I'll just say, "what a Dugan".
