Default NEW Z Owner !

New to this site first also first post, this is actually my first car. the fella I bought it from had it in poor condition, so I'v spent the last month cleaning her up and trying to make her shine again. Tell me what you think! added quite a few things. Nothing performance related yet though! seat covers and steering wheel covers are off, Amp is in just didn't take a picture yet.

Welcome.

All I can say is please remove those gaudy, red overlays and that ricer wing.

There are plenty of other mods that will make your Z standout in a good way and keep it clean at the same time. Just SEARCH on here.

What's up with the aftermarket side skirts, but stock front bumper? Also, the wing looks stupid, serves no purpose, and will probably make your car faster if removed (removes weight )

First of all,welcome!
Secondly, your car needs a lot of work.
Hopefully its mechanical condition is making
up to the abortion in stying. You are saying the seatand steering
wheel covers are off?Did you put the dash kit(red)in or,was it
on the car when you bought it?
It needs to go.
The problem you are gonna have is the removal of the dash kit parts.
They are backed by 3-M tape.Removal and proper clean up is going to be a *****.
After removal, the only options you will have is to buy new interior parts or,
re cover with a dash kit that looks good. Some kits, carbon fiber, stainless steel look are not that bad.Yours is...What do the seats look like UNDER those cheapo covers?
The exterior stuff is just as bad.e-bay side skirts make no sense. The awful wing belongs on a ricer Civic.Maybe you can dump it off on Craigs. When you remove that wing, there's gonna be holes.Best way around to cover e'm up (depending where they are)is to get a spoiler to cover the holes. There are usually used OEM spoilers on the marketplace.Or,get a spoiler such as a Blitz that will surely cover the holes.
Bud,you got a lot of work ahead of you!Get it clean and you'll have a great Z!

Nice Z! I like the Red Overlay Z...the rest has to go. But, All in all its a nice looking ride. Check all the sticky threads if your thinking of modding. They helped me out plenty!

At first got pretty crazy with adding things to it, but I agree, I removed some of the red in the car, and also looking to remove the red interior kit I put on, sadly I don't like it as much anymore so its going to have to go once i figure out a way to remove it without having to replace all that interior. black vinly spray paint?

Thank you for the welcome ! and yes sadly I agree. by the way the steering cover and seat covers are no longer in the car, an yes the seats are not in great shape, thinking about replacing them. I put in the Red Interior kit but recently I also agree it should go, could have done better things than to put it in. Also planning on replacing side skirts and back bumper, WHOEVER put those on did an outrageous job it honestly looks terrible.

how did you attach it? if you are really careful removing it and don't tear off any of the stock finish you can use some goo gone or something to remove the residue. If you do tear up the trim pieces, its pretty easy to repair them DIY

just some sanding and some painting and you're gtg

They just applied right on the plastic interior, some areas I had used the adhesive promoter which I regret because it really doesn't ever need to be that sticky. I'v been able to peal most of it off an now since I'm removing it I i'll test some things out, maybe spray paint over the trim kit to see how it looks, if its no good i can always simply remove it, and yes some cleaning and spray paint should do just fine. Thanks for the tips and advice !
