Default My new toy =]

Just got a 350z as my first actual car. I plan on modding it like a show car. First I was going to redo the sound system. I do a lot of car audio builds so I'm experienced in that area. I want to build the Z for competitions so there will be a lot of internal modding. Externally, I was thinking white and black. So carbon fiber hood, SMALL carbon fiber spoiler, and some black accents(Tell me want you think about the black and white idea). I would probably change the exhaust before I did any other mods to the car. Finally I was going to lower the car(not too much) and get a new rear bumper. The only part of the car I'm not a fan of is it's ***. I just want to get something flatter. Quick question, if I were to get a new rear bumper, would it be hard to get it painted the same color as the car? My mechanic that checked out the car said the 350z's pearl white was extremely hard to match. There will probably be some other mods here and there but this it just the general idea. I'm not looking for racing performance, just a head turner. Tell me what you guys think.
Thanks

Congrats on your new ride!
White&black is a good color combo. Many guys have done this with great
results.Your Z(from the pic)looks clean as is.Gotta be careful,add too much
you can crap it up real quick. But,its your car,you know the look you want.
From your lists of things to mod,all thisstuff comes with a price tag.A rear
bumper change, paint to match is not lunch money.Whats your budget?
You are correct about the paint match. Some colors are easier than others to
match. You get into more complex colors like yours with a pearl finish, its
harder. But a good paint shop can do it.Its good that you are focusing on
one area(exterior)rather than doinga bit here&there to all areas. On the rear bumper,
do a search of pics of rear bumpers.Getting a "flatter" rear bumper? Most aftermarket
bumpers use the OEM tails&backup lights. Also, the design to align with the rear deck
and space needed underneath are factors to not go too "flat".Bumpers that include a diffuser or the addition of a diffuser to your stock bumper can flatten the look. You may want to look at a black diffuser in a matte or CF in place of a full bumper change.
Seems you would need a front lip to balance out the rear.
Best ofluck with your mods!

Congrats and welcome. I would start with a drop... and I love the wide curves of my Z's ***.

Never heard of the rear bumper tuck till now. I actually like it a lot.
Just ordered some sound equipment. I don't see many audio builds so I will post updates and pics on the install forum.
Thanks for the cheerful welcome.

thats becuase no one here wants to add more weight to this car than they have to.. t

his is an inexpensive and underpowered yet affordable sports car..

added weight makes it very slow and ruins handling.. jsut 2 heavy 10w7 subs in a fiberglass box made me feel like i ruined my car.

If you want to go low n slow, you may have bought the wrong car.. it does NOT respond well to added weight.

You might find with all the added weight you're thinking about with the soundz, that it will squash things down a bit too.
