Smile Sound System

I am new to the forum but not to the Z! I just picked up a 2005 350z touring roadster. I have the navigation system but.... The sound system is Bose and I do not have satellite, Bluetooth or have a need for the cassette player! I am looking for a great sound system to install, where I can use the Bluetooth technology, satellite and android compatible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't buy a clarion touch screen head unit. Mine is a 350$ nightmare. It decides to not work whenever it pleases

Go Kenwood. Any DDX or DNX is great.

There re a million options out there. You'll need to be a bit more specific in how far you want to go with your system.

My 07 base didn't have the Bose (but from what I hear, the Bose isn't great either), so I replaced everything. New head unit, front components, rear two ways, 2 12" subs, and amps for mids/highs and bass.

If you're just looking at a new head unit, I've been happy with the Pioneer units that I've owned. Many have Bluetooth built in (lesser models require an add-on), are satellite ready, and you should be able to use your android by either pairing via Bluetooth or using the USB connection.

I personally prefer a professional install. I went to Cruthchfield and got tech advice. They also provided me with an installer and this was prepaid through the Crutchfield website. I bought a JVC headunit with all the bells and whistles -bluetooth,traffic,news,weather nav,dvd/cd player, usb/3mm plug AV connect. 5 3/4" Infinity component speakers for the doors and a freeair 10" subwoofer. These were powered by a 4 channel 400watt JBL amplifier which I mounted on the floor of the cubby.
