Default New 05 Roadster GT Owner

Hello Everyone,
My name is Scott, I work in the aviation industry and just purchased a 2005 convertible Z. I thought I was buying it for my mid life crisis but the misses promptly took it away from me yesterday morning and posted pictures of "her new baby" on Facebook.

So I guess I bought her a Z and maybe she'll give me visitation from time to time.

It's a convertible with the navi system so I think it's the Grand Touring edition. I don't know much about them, I was at a ford dealer to purchase a new Focus ST but they had this car parked in the grass out front so an hour later I was taking the Z home instead of the ST.

Questions to follow.....

Congrats!
Post some pics.
Not surprised your lady took your roadster. They are very popular with the ladies.
In fact, numbers show that the roadster is bought by more female owners than
any of the coupe models.A bit cold this time of the year to drop the top. But,warm
weather is coming up.We'll be glad to answer any questions. You may want to use
the search feature or,FAQ first. Most stuff has already been discussed.

Maybe you'll have to buy a Zed for you.

Welcome and congratz on your new purchase.

maybe the easiest way to tell if it is a GT is if it has Brembo brakes. The calipers will have a gold color to it.

Default 2006 Touring Roadster 6MT. 43K miles.

I've always wanted a Z. A convertible is a great thing also. This one really turned out well for me...

Default A Picture Finally!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Sorry I haven't had a chance to get any pictures. I drive a truck for a company based in Washington and I'm on the Boeing Aircraft Super Load dedicated fleet. In short I haul really large oversized loads that are parts of Boeing airplanes. Most of my time is spent moving wing sections from Washington to South Carolina that are 85' long and 22' 4" wide. So I'm not home much however with the recent 787 problem the line has stalled and I got to come home for some R&R.

I finally got out tonight and got a picture of my new Volvo semi and my Z together. (The Z is much more fun to drive)

I believe that is an anniversary edition? They only made yellow in '05 for the anniversary edition and i've never seen a ZR in yellow only the coupes. Also, the wheels are for a '05 touring, however if it was an anniversary it would have '06+ touring wheels. The Track version should have Forged Rays 1st edition wheels which these aren't. Like someone else said if you don't have Brembo brakes then it is most likely a touring/ possible anniversary edition.

I was just going by what the insurance company said based on the VIN that its a GT. I'm not a Nissan guy, just seen the car, liked it and bought it. I went to the dealership to purchase a new Focus ST and came home with this car.

I'm also pretty sure the roadster never came in the 35th anniversary edition. I hope I'm wrong but i'm almost positive it was only for the 05 coupe models.

Anniversary models came with the Revup motor (6spd), brembo's, anniversary wheels, special Z badging etc...

Looks to me like custom paint. I mean, it looks good but the dealer might've lied to you about the trim. OP, i would maybe check the history of the car..

This is not the first yellow z Roadster I've seen.. But no brembo and the wheels will not make this the GT unless the previous owner sold them and stuck regular brakes ad wheels on to sell
