New guy from New Zedland
Hi all i'm Aaron from New Zealand just traded my 2000 BMW 330i m-sport on a 2004 350z touring, love the car alot different than the bimmer but within 3 days of ownership the 350z was in limp mode, the dealer has fixed most problems faults etc, but the slip light keeps coming on and a new fault code (B2201) has come up and my mechanic has no idea what it is love the Z but starting to have second thoughts on my purchase, the problem with the slip light i hope is caused by the dealer putting new tires 225/50/17 and not staggered, i'm looking to replace tires to factory specs or maybe new staggered 18's but not sure if i should start spending money on the car yet, anywho any help with the code would be great, i will let you know things go but may need some help and advise if that's ok. Thanks Aaron

As yours is a Touring, and presuming it's an older model 350, it should be on 225/50/17 front and 235/50/17 rear.
I know my tyres, and I've not heard of a Westlake on the market over here, so hate to think what they might be. Get some decent socks on that girl, and I think you'll find a few problems will go away. Does the slip light, light up all the time, or just on permanently? Catch you over on Kiwiland, don't have enough time currently to login over here as much as usual.

With our consumer guarantee's act, those tyres sound like they're not "fit for purpose", you'd be quite within your rights to ask them to put on a tyre designed for Kiwi roads, and a proper staggered high performance tyre. Can recommend a few things that are readily available over here.

When I got my 06 two years ago I had 225/45/18's up front and 245/45/18's in the rear. I got some aftermarket wheels and went with 265/35/18 all around and my slip light comes on a lot so I just turn TCS off every time I get in the car. When I'm due for new tires next time I'll go back to staggered and get some 285/35/18's in the rear.

I'm pretty sure your tire size would be an issue. For winters I had on 225/55/17s all around and did not have any issues. Search around here as I don't remember the specifics, but i think if the tire sizes are more than 3% variance in overall diameter from OEM, it would throw the light and cause issues.

Will flick you a pm. Been discussed over our side of the pond a lot.

Main problem with our roads over here being tarmac, especially in the summer the roads melt, then you're left with a gooey mess, or winter, just a slick finish, so even more important to get the tyre choice right.
