Yeah I know you wouldn't think. We were going through looking at the info on their computer. Because I even stated that, and he said with the cost or special ordering and the price difference of the paint since it didn't come standard he didn't have the money for the brembos or wasn't worried about them. And came to a conclusion that he purchased the 17s for winter wheels possibly and left them on it when it was traded in. Not sure. Definetly didn't get a good enough answer so I'm going to try and dig a little deeper and see what I can find.

I also researched ohio's lemon laws, and if I find out this isn't a 35th giving the fact they had it listed as that on everything, and the price. I can get out of the contract, and make them give me the difference in prices etc. I'm contacting a lawyer today!

brembo brake is standard for 35th verison, not option afaik.

edit: just mind you some dealers will talk all kind of **** to people who doesn't know better to get out of trouble. I heard plenty of stories that they declined warranty to GTRs by saying it's not supposed to be driven as a racecar.

Garrettx, The most significant and exclusive feature of the 6-speed manual 35 anniversary edition was the 300 hp rev-up engine. If your car doesn’t have this, or any of the other special equipment it can’t be sold as the collectable 35th edition.

In used car sales honest mistakes can be made. Continuing to perpetuate the deception crosses over to fraud. I would demand the car dealer refund a substantial amount of money to make up for providing a lesser car than advertised. No dealer wants to be hauled before state consumer sales practices tribunals etc. Just mention the wrath of My350Z forum and they will roll over immediately!

I doubt your car could have been a special order. That is just more dealer speak trying to make you feel good about the car. I suspect you have a Base model. I'm not knocking the Base because that is what I have. The Base is the only model that did not come with cruise control. You might also check to see if you have factory HID lights. The Base came with halogen lights. Could you please post a close up to your instrument panel and steering wheel?

That is what I was thinking. I'm going back there tomorrow after work and having a word with them and stating that. I'm also going to state that I'll get my lawyer involved if I need to. I'm guessing I should demand the kbb value difference of the models? Or should I trying going for more?

Here is a scan of two pages from the 2005 dealer brochure. This shows exactly what should have been on your Z. All models are listed including the 35th AE. I hope this helps.

Garrettx, in addition to konerCarvers spec sheet look at your tachometer. If it doesn’t have a 7000rpm redline it would indicate the car lacks the special rev-up engine (the lower horsepower plebian engines had about a 6600 rpm redline)

I just looked at your pictures now. In addition to being a wrong color it also lacks any of the special 35 Anny edition badging etc. Gotta say this used car salesman has a lot of chutzpah!

Thanks for all the information guys. I'm going to be printing that brochure out along with all the other info you've all given me. I'm taking it in tonight. It's weird though because even the body shop that fixed my Z has it listed as a 35th Ann? lmao. It's so confusing.. You would think the VIN # would tell them differently?

I also just checked my registration. It says 3ZC under model. Is that what they all say?

I also just looked up the kbb for the base and 35th and **** my pants... I paid a little over $6,000 more than I should of because of their misrepresentation. I'm getting my money.. one way or another..

I'm going to try! I'm going there on my lunch break in 18 minutes.

I have everything printed and high lighted for my proof too. I just hope it goes in my favor and we get the contract re drawn to the correct amount etc.

Your steering wheel is definitely a Base model wheel. The fact that your redline is 6500 means you do not have the Rev Up engine that would be in a manual transmission 35th AE model. The vin does not indicate what model a Z is.

I ran my vin through a vin decoder and it says the model is base. I went to the dealership. Nothing happened so I called my bank. They told me the dealership sent them something saying it was a touring model. And when I first asked them if I could get approved for it, they said they searched it through for the anniversary also. The lady that deals with the loans said shes going to read through all the paper work again and go through everything and try to figure something out for me. So fingers crossed something happens and this gets fixed.

That's the thing mine does have leather seats. Which is making it hard because we don't know if it came like that or not, and the PO had them upholstered. The other thing throwing them off is that I have a rear spoiler on it which wasn't supposed to come with the base model either apparently.

Yeah would of also had heated seats and power passenger seat which it doesn't. I went down the list and told her everything so I'm just waiting to here back now and hopefully hear the contract can be voided or something that's a good thing for me!
