Glad they are looking into it. Hopefully you can recoup some of the money. Good luck!

I'm praying! lol. If not the only way to get out of way over paying for it would be to total it. And let GAP take it's place lol.

Yeah. It's shitty though because if it was a 35th I could sell it for around 20k where I live. But the base models only go for like 12k and thats if theyre in excellent condition.. So I'd lose more than likely 6k or more if I were to sell it at some point..

The suspense of waiting to hear back from my bank is killinggggggg me!!!!!

They called me! They said the dealership has the touring model listed as the trim. They said they called a dealership in Cleveland to see if they could look into the vin number of my z to find the trim model but they couldnt. I'm thinking of getting a carfax report so I can find out what dealership had it when it first got into the country and calling them to see if they can find out what my trim is and to have them fax me a copy of everything. So I can then send a claim in through the better business bereau against the dealer ship.

You should definitely get your 6K back from the dealership. Hopefully the bank will be a help since it is partly their money.

BTW, could you post a pic of your seats/interior?? (if you haven't already) Interested to see if they are OEM leather seats like the touring or some aftermarket variety.

That is an aftermarket interior. No 35th Anniversary ever had that kind of seats..

That looks like a shitty job in the interior. No way Nissan would sell a z with that. Look at the wrinkles in the leather, and the burnt orange seats were all orange.

You got screwed.

dealerships are notorious for mislabeling the trim level on used 350z's, or maybe they do it on purpose...either way always do research on the vehicle's trim level and features that correspond with that trim prior to purchasing it.

I would confuse the **** out of the next owner if I ever sold my z. I have a base but installed OEM Burnt leather seats, steering wheel controls, OEM VLSD, aluminum pedals and side sills, rear trunk mat, and splash guards.

Honestly, I think you're seriously overestimating the added value that 35th trim brings, although you did indeed buy a car which was misrepresented. If I had to guess, and I hope for your sake I'm wrong, this will most likely end with the phrase "caveat emptor".

the stealership tried to pass mine off as grand touring, thankfully i did my research prior to looking to buy and knew that trim came with brembos, called them out on it and they were like "oh, we made mistake, your right"
