I guarantee they don't give you $6k in difference. I bet they give you like $3k at the most or offer you to trade it in or give you store credit. I'll never buy a car from a dealership ever. They eff you over way too much.

Not sure. I would imagine they would talk to me about options after they get their meeting done.. Still waiting on the phone call... Haha trade in you say hmm they have a brand new black on black 370z, 6mt , I jizz on myself everytime I go by there and see it. Funny thing is they had a sold sign in it for a while now, however when I was there yesterday it was back up for sale.. hmm could be meant to be hahaha. "keep dreaming Garrett, keep onnn dreamin "

I told you man. I knew they wouldn't take off $6 grand which is a rip off. You should see if there's any way they would take the car back now, probably not since you've wrecked it since then but gotten it fixed and had it a while, but still only $2k back? That's ridiculous. KBB says for a 2005 base coupe with $58k miles from a dealership would be $13,500 and you paid $18k. No way would I accept only $2k back. You should get at least $3k if not $4k. There's a huge difference between a base and 35th anniversary. I'd think about getting a lawyer.

like i said before, kbb does not give you the true value of the car. 2k$ would get you to right about where my car is valued at. Which is basically the same miles as yours. I'd say you might be able to get maybe 500$ more, but thats about it.

You have to tell her an actual figure (honestly I don't know why you would joke about this at all) so she has something to work with with the dealer on your behalf if that is what she is doing.

I suspect you will not actually get a dime from this. If the dealership pays any money, it will probably be directly to the bank. They will reduce your loan balance by any amount the dealership pays them. And that is ok, you are still getting the benefit of the money simply because your loan balance will be decreased.

This will more than likely be your outcome. Yeah, it would be nice to have some extra cash back, but they'll end up decreasing your loan balance as KornerCarver said -- unless you try to fight them for taking the car back.

I doubt the dealer would like this option. I believe the original poster has had the Z for 5 or 6 months now. And it has been wrecked and fixed. I am beginning to think there will not be a happy outcome for this.

Not really wrecked.. just a deer lol. I was still able to drive it home thankfully. But no I won't be giving it back after I just spent $1400 on a clutch, and put new tires on it.

I'm glad whoever it was that pointed out the Roadster for my collateral on the contract! It's suggested retail is 22k from a dealer. And thanks again to who ever it was that pointed out that I over paid sales tax to given it wasn't the correct vehicle. I'm going to be bringing this up this morning with my bank.

Well we read over my contract and came up with this. I purchased it for $18,xxx. I put 2,000 cash down which took it down to $16,xxx. We think they're over looking the 2k I put down on it and they're thinking I only paid $16,xxx for which the 2k they offered to give me would take it down to $14,xxx which is what it should of been. However they still owe me an extra 2,000 more for my down payment to actually take it down to where it should have been priced at. So I'll be telling the dealership this when I go in at noon. And I'll be happy with that.
