New owner to an '04 350z
Hey guys my name is David, just thought I'd introduce myself. I used to be a member on TitanTalk in case any of you guys were there at some point. Needed better mpg and I love the 350z. It's a silver manual 6spd. It came with Nismo intake, lowering kit, wheels and spacer. Also has the GReddy exhaust. It's my first manual vehicle, so it's taking some getting used to, especially in the lower gears. Any advice is welcome.

Understand the mileage thing, having owned a few Armada's/QX56's - combined 14 mpg seems to be the norm for these trucks (same engine as Titan).
If you continue to have a hard time with smoothness, look into this:

I have owned a half dozen cars with a manual transmission over the years, but I never liked the feel of the 350's clutch - this solved the problem for me.
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the link! I've only grinded the gears errr twice now. The way I've been doing it since is I give it some gas at ~1700rpm, then slowly let of on the clutch and control how its catching. When I first drove it I stalled maybe 15 times because I had no one to teach me. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up in the long run, she's going smoother now. However I live on a hill and my driveway is an incline so that's a bit of a learning experience. Also I pulled into a steep parking lot and since I'm a first time car owner, I now know what a bottom out feels like. Needless to say I won't make that mistake again. Thanks again for the warm welcome.
