No... I personally would only buy one with clean title.

you can find clear title cars for that price. I'd steer clear.

Probably the only way I'd buy a salvage title Z is if I wanted a drift missile and could get it for 5k ish.

I seriously doubt that replacing a door would require the car getting a salvage title. I suspect there was far more damage to that car.

Not worth it, at all. I would never buy a salvage-titled car unless I got an amazing deal and was dedicating it to the track.

When I was looking for my Z every salvage title car I saw would say something like:

"Salvage title because I had to replace a wheel" or "It does have a salvage title but only needed a bumper replaced"

If I were to ever buy a salvage titled vehicle it would only be from somebody who will tell the entire truth about the history of the vehicle. If somebody's going to lie about what happened to the car, you do NOT want to drive it.

$9000 for a salvage title car? Yeah right

Only way I'd get one is if it was less than $6000, reasonably clean, mechanically good and was going to be driven hard

The price is about right for it being a reconstructed title. I still wouldn't buy it.

I just picked up an '06 Base on Friday for $9500 with a clean title and 101k, right after turning down a nice '04 with 93k for $8600.

I totally agree $9k for a salvage '04 is crazy. And low miles no longer matter on a salvage title as far as I'm concerned; neither do any mods/stereos.

Pass on that car, I wouldn't pay more than $5k for it.

Id get a salvage z as a drift missile? But even though that's a "fair" price, I wouldn't mess with it.

Also....I haven't had my z too long, so I could be wrong. But the fact that this dude says there's a "Mugen" exhaust on that car is enough of a warning sign to stay away from it. Salvage title or not.

So here is my issue with the Craigslist posting that you linked... While I have only bought one 350Z from CL, I have gone and checked out a lot of cars with family to buy for brothers or sisters, and I have found an interesting pattern.

Mods + low mileage + Salvage title= Don't even bother, unless you have the time to thoroughly inspect the car and see if the issues are repairable.
Mods + huge mileage + clean= Often times your better bet, even if it has seen a lot of miles, that is probably better than flood damage, electrical issues, or even more issues you could get from getting a salvage vehicle.
Just my thoughts however, some people get salvages and kinda use them as project cars.
