Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
Hi, I have a 2005 Z and was told (by autozone) that I need a new fuel tank pressure sensor. It looks like this (below). My question is, where is this sensor located? I assume it's somewhere near the gas tank right? I've also searched all over google and this forum, and no success.
Thanks

Just curious...why did they tell you needed this part?

I had a service engine light. Code came up and they recommend replacing this sensor. Otherwise the car runs fine and no gas gauge malfunction whatsoever
I had the service engine light resetted but it'll probably come back and w it back, I will not pass nj inspection.

Also told that the sensor does not affect engine performance bc it is used mostly for gas emission purpose. Hence I may be polluting more than a fair share

Thats not the engine - that's passenger side rear of the car...pretty easy to get to though...it's starting to make a little more sense. Can you list the what codes are being thrown?

Hello I have code p0451 and I’m thinking I made sure gas cap was closed right, should I change the Evap pressure sensor or should I change the gass cap?. I have a 2004 350z enthusiast with 136k miles

I would inspect the EVAP hoses and EVAP sensor wiring (as best you can) around the engine bay, (safely) under the car, an the evap canister (in the rear of the car) and look for obvious damaged hose and if you dont see anything blaring than replace the sensor.
