Default New owner of a 05' 350z

Well last night I bought an 05' 350z 6spd in Yellow. I has 87k miles on it and it starts quietly, it shifts smooth, revs well, sounds amazing, and handles like a race car... Oh and not to mention brakes are on point. I am amazed at how quiet and put together this car is. I found 3 small dings which will be fixed asap. It had new tires, brake rotors/pads, oil change, K&N filter, and safety inspection all done right before the purchase. The interior is clean and stain free. The dash center plastics show some wear and tear.. Essentially the paint flaked off slightly here and there. Otherwise, the car from what I can tell was taken care of. The only thing I cant figure out is. There is an ipod connector with headphone jack in that pocket just above the radio. I plugged my ipod in and no power. I used the Aux connection and no way to change the stock BOSE unit to it. If anyone has a suggestion about this please let me know>? I will be putting pics of it up soon... Hope to be using this forum often and sharing with everyone my experience!

Very nice z, it's got the v1 Touring wheels, next to the v1 Track wheels those are my favorite.

That's probably something you should of figured out before buying this car, not all z's are created equal and more times than not dealerships falsely represent a Base model being a more sought after model such as an Enthusiast, Touring, Track, 35th Anniversary, etc.
Your z is a Touring however so you lucked out, most aren't so lucky, your z should have these options https://my350z.com/forum/vindecoder....AZ34D65M602008

It wasn't stated as being anything other than a 350z. That being said it turned out to be a nice model I guess.

+1 I just bought another Z a couple weeks ago, the dealer tried to pass it off as an enthusiast. Luckily I had my first Z for 8 years so I knew what I was looking at.

WElcome to the forum 4URXTC (I'm guessing For Your Ecstasy?)!!!

Yellow would be a tough pill for me to swallow every day, but to each his own!

Glad you're happy, and with such low miles!!

Plans for her?

As far as color goes... it doesn't matter to much because I have a Liquid Wrap business. So, I already have several colors to chose from for it. The yellow is growing on me though.

Plans, I see suspension mods, exhaust, intake, and a tune. Other than that maybe nice wheels. Maintanence is #1 though in my book!

I looked all the work the dealership did before I bought it.

Here is the list:

Oil Change
Cabin Air Filter
Drive Belts/Accessory Belts
New Tires
Brake Rotors, Pads, and fluid
Rear Shocks
Hatch struts
Middle AC Vent

Basically a good overall inspection and fix of most of the immediate maintenance for the vehicle. All in all I am happy with the result. I also found the Diff, Trans, and coolant had been changed/Flushed about 20k ago. Not sure if this is something that needs to be tackled now. I am under the impression this should be done every 7-10k?? Or is this not the case for these vehicles?

Liquid wrap as in vinyl? Or Plastidip? Never heard of it. I suggest Sway Bars for cheap bang for buck

Yes, like Plasti dip but not. I use HaloEFX instead which yields much better results.
