It's official says the DMV
Good find. You going to repaint black? or going to go back and forth endlessly trying to figure out if your going to keep it black or change it up...
I love the black... But the white with black roof has been calling my name...

Hmm... I think the S30 will be a retirement project and I will turn it into a auto X or time trial car. If I change my mind you will be the first to know!
I think the neighbor parked it under a tree uncovered lol...
My paint looks like **** up close... But I also have over 70k miles and live in new england... Im also not the most **** about my 11 year old toy.

Keeping the black color. I just can't decide on the wheels yet.
Everyone says it looks great but they aren't looking at it like I do. The buff job and a couple of coats of wax has helped it a lot. And a night it's gleaming under the lights. That's the ticket.. just drive it a night.
Dboy, I feel your pain. I can tell you that this car was under a tree most of it's life. I'm still getting bio matter from under the window moldings. I think she use to dry wash the car with a broom. LOL

Im working on it though
Refinishing a 3k mile z with original paint...
I bought my 05 brand new and took care of the paint. It's still flawless after 37k miles, now protected under a full wrap. Unless your neighbor left it out in the sun all those years I wouldn't repaint it. Take it to a pro that can wet sand and polish it up.
- Car was outside and under a tree.
- Very seldom washed or waxed.
- Some deep scratches through clear and sometimes through the paint.
- Front driver side fender has a little dent by headlight.
- Rear and front bumpers have a couple of deep scratches through paint.
- Driver side rear quarter around wheel has slight scrape marks through paint. We think it was slightly side swiped. Or someone can't back into a driveway. LOL
A good friend who owns a detailed shop buffed the car and then did a test wet sanding a section of the hood. The wet sanding worked but you could still see scratches even though they didn't go through the paint.
I took the car to a great body shop for an estimate on fixing the above listed items.
By the time you add up respraying the hood, both bumpers, fixing the fender and rear quarter panel. Well you get the picture.
Paint the whole car and it's better than new.
Heck I might even put a body kit on it. Just saying...
Good call. It will still be black but not the stock black color. The paint being sprayed will be different than the factory paint job. You know, a lot has changed with paints in the last ten years.

I almost bought a set not long ago, they were on sale at one of my local tire & wheel shops but they weren't really the size I wanted.
They're the only wheels I would put on my z though.
