New from Avondale, AZ
Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and new to the Z world. Spent a good amount of time in the VW/Audi scene and have made the switch. Not looking back! I'm familiar with how forums operate, to include the search function, so you can expect very little questions for me that have already been answered 10x per year.
About a week ago now, I picked up a 2003 Silverstone Gray, Touring 6speed MT. Just over 150k on the clock. Looks like the PO took relatively good care of it, but it has it's flaws for sure. (scratched plastic inside, cup holder stuck in dash, etc.) So far I've ran some SeaFoam through her, added fuel, and just changed the oil yesterday for good measure. It looks like my passenger side valve cover has a bit of a leak, so I'll be diving into that shortly I'm sure. I feel like the clutch has the friction point about 4in in and the rest is just dead space to travel. Not sure if there is an adjustment for that or if I'm just being weird because I've been driving a manual F250 diesel for the last year or so with the most simple clutch ever...I've had a couple people drive my car and they agree that it's a bit weird, but none of them own or have driven a Z before so it's a BS study.
That being said, that's my current mission. I look forward to picking your brains.
