Default Best way to add a 100HP to my 06 350Z

Hey guys I drive a 06 Nissan 350Z and I was wondering what the best ways are to add 100HP to the engine I know this is very broad and most of you might just say to turbocharger it but most turbochargers add way to much HP than what I actually want, but what I also know is a cold air intake and a bigger exhaust will only give me 30HP on a good day. If you do find a turbocharger that only adds 100HP and is not going to blow up my engine please send me the link. Also if you can’t already tell I’m very knew to this so go easy on me, thanks.

100hp is sorta a bermuda-triangle ...

if you want 100hp get a turbo or a supercharger plain & simple ... very very very few turbo chargers (no matter the make, model, purchase source) will pop your engine when installed correctly, maintained, not abused/neglected, and MOST IMPORTANTLY tuned correctly... iideadeye has a $2000 complete turbo build and it's as reliable as they come ... last I heard he is doing fine.

very 'new'

what you should do is look the FI top 50 list and look at what each person did on their build to give you an idea of what it takes to get a specific HP ... you can make 100hp all day long on 6psi of boost on a stock block ... easy

You need that YouTube video about the turbo kit off ebay.

Just save your money and buy a car that has 100hp more, it's really the better option if your not happy with your 12 year old sports car.

I’ve seen people get as much as 50HP from a performance exhaust alone, also you kinda missed the point of the thread

You won't find any VQ engines making 50 HP from an exhaust system upgrade. Nissan did a good job with their initial R&D in maximizing HP with this platform. Helping you understand that is the point of this thread.

To answer your question honestly the best and probably most cost-effective way of adding 100hp would be swapping out the oil burner for a stock ls motor.

Still going and advanced timing in the spring about 7degrees at full boost. Probably around 90whp increase for ~2k
Unless you have significant modding/tuning knowledge(and willing to trust ebay parts- to which I've been pretty lucky) you're not going to be able to turbo a Z for 2k

Best option is a 100shot of wet nitrous. 5k will get you pretty far in that sense.

Should ask how many miles he has driven in the last 2 years, or more importantly how many miles he hasn't driven.

Is this your only car?
