Hey there everyone my name is Brady and as of three days ago I bought myself a 2003 Nissan 350Z base model for $2,500. I found it on Facebook Marketplace for $2,500, a just about bone stock car with 237000 Miles with a bad oil smoking issue. Upon getting to the car I noticed the car was actually very clean with pretty decent paint. Some tasteless Plasti Dip but overall an actual solid car and it was kept well. Upon driving it wide open throttle over 5000 RPMs the car would smoke like a train but without hesitation for $2,500 and a 6 speed manual 350Z I bought it. Come to find out it has a very crappy intake which caused him to put the dipstick in on the left side of the intake which cause the dipstick to bend at a 90 which also caused the dipstick not to go in all the way so at the end of the day it was literally just a dipstick not being in put in correctly. The car pulls like a freight train has cold AC and drives Like A Champion I'm happy the car pulls great and I still got a z for $2,500
Welcome and congrats!
First thing's first: engine swap. Too many miles and engine expectancy was 200k miles. Not sure how far she'll make it if you don't baby her from here on out.
IT'S A Z! SHE SHOULDN'T BE BABIED
Make sure the engine oil is up to level and correct viscosity. I bought a 2003 touring 2 weeks ago that had rod knock because the old owner let the oil get too low. Mine has 204000 miles so i'm not far behind you. Great buy though getting a mostly sorted Z for 2500! I wouldn't swap the engine just because, ive seen Z's for sale with 300k miles. Check out my post!
