Default 350z lower plenum torque specs

The bolts in my lower plenum keep snapping. I’ve looked it up a million times and everywhere I’ve seen says between 40 and 60 inch lbs and I can’t even get past 20. I’ve even gone so far as to order brand new ones from concept z performance and they still break and get stuck in the manifold right before I hit 20 inch lbs. Has anyone else had a problem like this? And if so, how did you fix it?

Are you sure you aren't using FT-LBS instead of IN-LBS?

Maybe your torque wrench is no good?

nah, I ended up torquing a few other things on my z that needed to be torqued to specs and it worked just fine, idk what was wrong w the plenum bolts, maybe they were just bad quality ig. I just ended up tightening the ones in the plenum as much as I could without torquing them to specs and they’re holding up fine so far lol

The specs are correct for OEM bolts provided you aren't trying to use a ft lb torque wrench and dividing by 12. Gl!

Are the torque specs the same for the lower plenum like the upper one?
