They don't seem to know much at the dealerships yet about the 2005's. I just ordered an 05 Roaster yesterday and there are no significant changes between the 04's and the 05's. I forget the list but they made the clutch pedal easier, upgraded the NAV board in the NAV system so it's faster and a few other minor changes. No significant body changes and no color changes except I think they got rid off the liquid aluminum in the coupe as a color.

aww it makes sense now thanks i guess i want ss or white now then but all they had is 2 base 6 speeds and one enthusiat 6 speed (i do want manual) but it wasnt the color i wanted what would be a decent price for an 04 since the 05 are coming out soon (on a base or enthusiast)

They had originally offered me $700 over invoice on the 04 and then when they couldn't find one they offered me the same on an 05 so I jumped on that -- just have to wait 90 days for it to come in.

No, not at all. I ordered an 05 Roadster Touring as follows:
Silverstone Exterior
Charcoal Interior
Burnt Orange Ventilated Seats
6 Speed Manual
DVD Navigation System
Floor Mats
Splash Guards
Aluminum Kick Plates
Trunk Mat
Convenience Net
The MSRP was $39,390.00
The invoice price is $36,296.00
I ended up paying $36,996 for the car
I got them to include the under car spray and the desert paint protection package for free. I also got them to knock down the extended warranty quite a bit. They originally quoted me $2,500 for the gold preferred plan with $0 deductable. I got them down to $1,216 for the 72 Month/100K miles or $1,368 for the 84 Month/100K miles. All-in-all I was pretty happy with the price I got for an 05 being custom ordered from the factory.
The only option we didn't get was tht 18" wheels. We kicked that one around (it's a $1,200 option) and when I looked at the two on the lot I didn't see a big difference. People on the forum say the 17" wheels give a little smoother ride and the 18's give you a little more on the performance end. Since I am not planning on racing a lot I went with the 17's. Plus I have seen a lot of pictures from aftermarket wheel that people have added and I really like them so I will put the $1,200 towards that.
Let me know if you want the dealership name and salesman name of who I dealt with.

just a little advice, i would wait until you find one with the color and options you really want. don't let a dealer bully you into a car you don't want. its better the wait to find the right car then to be in the wrong car now.

thank guys! I got an offer for an enthusiast (04) for 28,200 with carpets and mud guards. I guess im a couple hundred over invoice as well. Thanks for the insight!
Also when i test drove a 03 Track model, the clutch was very long. Is it like that for every trim Z or just the track?
It was hard for me driving it and I've been driving a sr20 240sx for a long time with no problem at all. I was wondering if it's just me or the car.
Thanks.

I thought the clutch was a very tough clutch to drive when I test drove but it had been a while since I drove a stick. However, in the minor list of changes in the 05's they changed something with the clutch and the way it feels. I will let you know in about 90 days!

Glad to hear they did something to the clutch.
My experience with it was horrible. As the clutch is stiff for about half way down then the rest just pop in and out as if there isn't anything holding it back. So finding the engage point was hard and hard to drive it smoothly.
