Hey Everyone,

I have been trying to join this site for the last few days now but it has been done. I'm glad its finally up. Anyway, I just picked up a Z last weekend. Man is this car sweet. I had a Custom Chevy Avalanche that I sold privately and used the money in part for the Z. THis is a whole new world for me. I have never owned a sports car and I have never raced. While I do drive stick it's been an interesting experience getting used to the clutch of this car. I lost a rave last night in part because I didnt want to get on the car too much before its broken in. The CTS-V would have been toast if I did know what I was doing. LOL

Anyway, I have a lot to learn about this car and I am glad there is a place to talk about it on the web.

HUGE wealth of knowledge here and great people.
Watch out for that new CTS with the 400HP enigine...you would have been toast if you raced one of those in a straight line.

Yea, it was the 400 HP version I guess if thats what the V means.

I was only half throttle the whole way but I did notice something wierd. When I was in 3rd and 4th gear my slip light was coming on a lot. I was doing some pretty hard acceloration but the pavement was dry. Is there an issue with the stock Potenza Tires?

Welcome - - even with the recent troubles with the site, this place is the best on the web IMO.

Enjoy your Z, and break it in correctly

I have a little over 300 mile on it. I am not killing the car but I am not babying it either. I dont plan on driving like a maniac with it even after its broken in. I just want to make sure that the I broke it in to reach its maximum potential

Congrats switch off your traction control, oh VDC. That way your slip light will not come on, and your car will not "bog".
