I am pretty sure any model can be ordered with the nav, not just the Touring.

If you don't get the nav, its an approx 4" deep usless storage pocket under the nav door.

In 2004 Nav could be had on the Performance, Touring, and Track models. For the 2005's I believe it is only available on the Touring model now. I am unsure about the 35th anniversary model.

I think going as far as calling it useless is pretty harsh. in fact its anything but useless. in a car that has its glove box behind the passenger seat, having that storage space within the drivers reach, albeit small, comes in clutch quite frequently.

good place to put my garage opener, i use the homelink so i dont need it out all the time, but should it need to be reset, i can get to it. also for those of us who have topark in dedsignated areas at work with a sticker, its a nice place to store the sticker or parking card that can hang on the rear view mirror. i always thought people were crazy when they actually stuck these stickers to their car.

anyway i could go on but i think i made my point. still would rather have the nav unit though. HAH!!

["You put your weed in it". Or you can buy a pocket size 50 state road map for a few bucks and put that in there and save $1995 on getting the nav system. I just put my xm radio head unit in the space, looks cool.

The selling point on the car for me was the weed storage compartment. I put my cell phone in there once and forgot where it was......but that might have been the weed too.

I have always considered that compartment door to be a canidate for a rattle if used often. I keep the registration & insurance proof card in there but, until a cop pulls me over, it never gets used!

ditto on this end. I have the PErformance Model, consequently, a sunglass holder, but without the NaV SYSTEM THAT EMPTY SPACE CAN BEEN USED FOR MANY THINGS.

I had my airbag on/off switch installed in there. Kinda wish I hadn't now that I'm considering F/I and will need a place to put Boost and A/F guages. Oh well.......
