Will there be a 2008 Nismo Z?
Looks like I will have to wait till 2008 for one. Will there be a 2008 (1500) more made? My dealer was trying to tell me only 500 arebeing made for 2007.

nope read the wording on the press release for the 2008. it treats the nismo Z has a mid year addition
2008 Nissan 350Z Coupe, 350Z Roadster and NISMO 350Z
After a 2007 model year revision that included the addition of a new NISMO 350Z model (Coupe only), the 2008 Nissan 350Z continues to offer sports car lovers high performance excitement and a dynamic driving experience in a high value package. Again for 2008, the legendary Z® features a standard VQ35HR V6 producing 306 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque.
The 2008 350Z is available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models – five for the Coupe (including the NISMO 350Z) and three for the Roadster. The NISMO 350Z, introduced late in the 2007 model year, features an aerodynamics package with an aggressive front fascia with chin spoiler, side skirts, an extended rear fascia with underbody diffuser and a rear wing. This package produces additional aerodynamic downforce for enhanced cornering and handling performance
there will be 1500 total (actually it was said less than 10% of all 2007 350z's but everyone is reporting 1500) i was told and that its possible the remaining cars( the last few hundred or so) could have 08 window stickers. now i have no proof of this but i do know they are up to 700 plus shipped already
either way if they are 2008's it will in window sticker only really as they will not have seperate serial #'s from what is already out there.
personally i think they will be all be 2007's but thats just my educated guess

i wouldnt mind them making it a permanent top end trim for the next gen Z.
so the Nismo 350z would still be a rare car but the 370/380 or whatever would have a NISMO Z has its top trim level

Or... are the 08's really made in MY08, with fixes and or improvements etc. for any bugs that the 1st year Nismo's had IE: like the 07 clutch probs?
Anywho.. Just curious if I should have the dealer find me an 08? But if they were all made at the same time, maybe no point other than they should give me an even better deal on the 07 right? lol

nationwide Nissan has an 07 for 35900. I decided to wait till late fall and get an 07 by then price will prob be down to 31000. these don't be selling like dealers thought, only Z enthusiasts know about Nismo so I expect this car will still be there. Two dealers have 07 black on their lots.
! Worse case I will see what the 09 look like.
