but damn 50K is like 35-30K less than what i thought it would bring. although when i was told yesterday it was only up to 44K i thought that was odd
I'm actually not surprise. Even though I love the Z you have to keep in mind what it is. 30-35k more buyers are in a different market and the Z, no matter how exclusive it may be, would be off their radar. 35k more you're in GTR territory and more. The only way to justify the car going for more is if the buyer had some real emotional attachment to the Z or is gambling on it to double in value later as a collectable.

and the amount over sticker is deductible as a donation as well so really only about 8k over sticker for collector's item.

Someone got a deal.....Glad to see they picked the best color for #0001. Love my Nismo Z. If it turns out to be collectible one day all the better.

i'm sure it'll be a collectable... since it was only released to you US guys!

i'm certain that overseas buyers would be willing to pay a premium price for the nismo z's. i certainly would..

I almost missed this thread. You guys will be happy to know that the buyer of the car is a local Chicago Z enthusiast and already had a Z32 and I believe another Z car as well. He's now selling his Z32. Here's a post from our local site:

Jeff P...the VP of Admin of the Windy City Z Club was the high and winning bidder on the 2007 NISMO 350z serial number 0001 at the 20th Anniversary of the International Z Convention here in Daytona Beach. He wants to share it with ChicagoZ.com community and attend some meets with the club to show it and the incredible documentation that came with it...thought I'd share the excitement...

And not only did he get it ONLY for 50k.. BUT IT'S ALSO A FREAKIN TAX WRITE OFF!!!!! ARGHHHHH!!!
