Post Place your bets!

How many think the dealer will leave the sping spacers in when I pick up my car?

(ill post results when I get the car back)

I was thinking of telling them over the phone, but I'm curious to see how on their game they are.

Anyone know if you can straight out tell the dealer not to put one of their crappy logos on the car somewhere. Anyone else deal with this issue when they bought their's?

Any Stealership that puts their logo on it should be shot.

I pay enough for their fricking mark up, they ain't getting free advertizing off me.

I even changed the license plate holder to a NISMO one...

If they do a good job of selling me the car AND looking after it afterwards, then they get all the free advertizing they need - word of mouth.

Bought my black NISMO 2 months ago. Still has the spring blocks on it but the car only has 212 miles on the odo. One of these days, I'll get it back to the dealer to have them removed and request some type of recoupment for their error and my after-the-sale inconvenience.....maybe the twin air intake upgrade installed at their expense. I would say yours will still have the blocks on it as well. That's great news on the current rebate.

https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/197329-the-top-100-common-questions.html

I know you're not talking about plenum or wheel spacers... spring spacers?!

Dunno.

Depends, your stealership may try to rape by charging you to remove the spacers a couple of days after purchasing the car. I asked the saleman how much this stealership was going to pay me monthly for the advertisng fee? He had no idea what I was asking about till I explained thet if I did not get this dollar amuont on the contract I would not purchase the Z car if it had a stealership sticker on it.

If you tell them to take off the stickers they will. I had them remove some gay plaque they had put on right beneath the Nismo badge.

To L8RG8R, I know next to nothing about cars, but would seriously recommend that you do not drive it with those blocks still in.

I can see the stealership taking no ownership of any damage that might be done, and even if they are at fault it'll take a lot of paperwork/court time to get them to admit it.

I would just take it in now, and be happy with a free tank of gas off them for your troubles.

Alright heres the deal. When I go in today to sign the paperwork and see my car for the first time ( I pray the car made it in one piece on the trailer with all this damn snow) I will tell them to take off the spacers. If they give me the ol **** eye or have no clue what Im talking about Ill assume they wouldnt have taken them off. i have to remind myself to check again tommorow, someone in another post told me they left one or two in there. Seriously thank god for you guys and this forum.... these dealers

If there is snow o the streets you may seriously want to reconsider driving your new Nismo home. The Nismo, with its stock tires, isn't just difficult to drive on snow-packed streets -- its practically impossible.

Default The Results

The Dealer was dumbfounded. He had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I insisted to see the car on a lift tomorrow before I drive it home. So for all of you who thought the dealer would leave them on... good call. Its going to be sunny and dry tomorrow in Mass so I'm going to be on the road all day...

Also it was kinda sick seeing it in the parking lot next to all the ultimas and Maximas. All the sales people and customers were ooogling over it. I still cant wipe the smile off my face
