Only complaint is that my 335I is faster. Could have used a little more power. 300hp to the wheels would have been perfect.

Hi folks,

I am really pleased with this car and feel that I got what I researched and expected to get. I am a little disappointed with the stereo and the quality of the seats. I know this is not a luxury car, but still I was disappointed with those items. I have done the speaker cover modification with some improvement noted. Time has not permitted me to change out the stereo system yet. That might be my winter project.

Also, if Nissan can make the driver's seat different from the passenger seat (I'm with them so far on that point.) then why couldn't they have made the left side of the driver's seat out of tougher material than the right side? My 07 only has 2,600 miles on it and already the driver's side outside portion of the upright shows signs of wear. Very disappointing. Other than that the car is an absolute pleasure to drive and I am very proud to own it.

Ditto here man. You'd think for 40K the seats would be better. I love the seat in my 335I.

One other point I thought I'd mention. A friend of mine purchased his 07 Nismo a few months before I did. With less than 3K on the odometer he complained about the transmission noise that was frequently mentioned on this thread. Nissan threw in a new transmission for him under warranty. Something to think about. And for the record, my transmission is quiet. Good luck to you all.

335 is not faster than the HR 350Z, they are both neck and neck with usually the edge going to the Z due to weight. My friend and I have raced many times.

NightRider, my '08 just turned over 3700 miles last week and have noticed the clicking sound you describe just started. It sounds like to me some type of solenoid chatter under the dash. I think it may be related to the RPM limit light. I have mine set to 4000rpm's and the clicking starts about 3500-3600rpm's just as the RMP light on the speedometer starts to flash. Taking mine in for its 3750 service next week, so I'll have the service dept check it out. Will report back when I found out the problem.

Let me rephrase that, The 335I is faster in the 1/8th mile. 1/4 Mile they are about even, but the 335I has a better 0-60. Because of the small turbos and virtually no lag, it takes off quicker IMO.

That's my goal as well, but I don't think I'm going the TT route. I am considering normal bolt-ons and spray.

I have to agree with the stereo. The sound quality is pretty crappy compared to my stock 06 tacoma. At least it's a standard feature in comparison to the S2000 CR with the optional A.C. and radio...

NightRider88, I just wanted to follow up on the clicking noise from the dash. Took mine into the local Nissan stealership yesterday, one of the mechanics road with me, but before I even left the lot he had already diagnosed the problem from my description of the noise. He said he had another Z in with a similar issue. So instead of getting out on the road, I just sat there on the lot and rev'd the engine to > 3500 and the noise occurred. "Yep, he said, heater core needs back flushing". He then went on to explain that the noise is caused by a valve flapping and back flushing the heater core resolves the problem. Luckily mine is still under warranty so it didn't cost me anything, but everything is back to normal. I would have never expected that a noise such as that would be caused by the heater core, it sounded electrical to me !

Hope this helps,

Honestly, aside from black cars being a pain in the *** to begin with, the car has that jigsaw paint. The front and rear bumpers don't match the rest of the car.

Like.... c'mon.
