+1 on what Andy says. Nismo Z's stock suspension is not as 'godly' as some of you think it is, honestly. It can certainly be improve on. And yes, I have ridden in a Nismo Z.

if i had a nismo z i would want to know what exactly about the other setups is better than the factory setup before i changed. id imagine that would involve knowing stock specs and design and the deficiencies that result, and then how those deficiencies can be improved and what the associated costs are with making the change.

i do see what both sides are saying but imo, just because something is after-market doesn't mean its better. i think we can all agree that there are countless upgrades that are really downgrades...

^ It all depends on what you want to do with the car for sure. The Nismo Z is a great from the factory set up.

When Nissan markets the car as the "Best Handling Z Ever," that needs to be taken into context. The best handling 350Z from the factory, but there are definitely improvements that can be made.

The handling is fine for both my needs and capabilities, but I have no doubt that a properly setup aftermarket suspension would be superior to the stock suspension on the Nismo Z.

Some want better handling, while others are content with stock, but just want it lower. I don't think changing to a good linear spring would harm things, but I'd also be worried about upsetting ride quality.

I think a GOOD set of coilovers and sways can still improve the handling...
this one is good but not born as pure track car... is a daily driver that can go to the track with zero mods, but imho still far from "pure".

Riding in one or taking one on the track to really test the difference is where it counts. Riding in one doesn't show anything. NISMO vs a normal 350z there is a big difference.

I agree, as stock is just beautiful.. so much more controllable, more predictable.. but she has margin to improve... so, choosing and tuning coilover and have better grip and track times on this one is going to be challenging.

Any car has room for improvement, but the key to improvement is getting all the parts that work well with each other. And at this moment the NISMO does that the way it is. You can put some different springs but then the shocks won't work well with those springs, or the sways or the dampening, etc. Once you screw up the way the car is tuned, it won't handle or drive the way it use to be.

Reason why I rather not touch the suspension on the NISMO.
