All I'm referring to is the TPMS light in the main center gauge cluster. The little orange light that's supposed to look like a flat tire below the fuel gauge. No readings of PSI on 2007/2008. I hear it's a legal issue, if it doesn't exactly match the measured tire pressure, so people ***** about it. Thus they just got rid of it.

If you read the manual, it says that it only comes on when a tire is significantly under inflated. So if you go around and check your tires, and they're all at 35psi(stock) then my guess would be you have a faulty TPM sensor on one of the wheels.

If you do find one is low, then you have to inflate, and drive the car above 16mph for the system to activate(also stated in the manual)

For my I had an issue where one tire went low on me and the light came on.

Great I thought, it works. so off I go to the gas station, and fill her up to 35psi.

Light goes off and normal driving continues.

Some weeks later - the light comes on again. Now as I was never sure what the issue was in the first place, I wonder if I have a slow puncture.

So I take it to the gas station, and check them - they are all fine (around and about 35PSI - some a little over, and some a little under).

The gas station air hose indicator is awful - really old fashioned - so I call the dealership and ask if he has any ideas.

the service manager tells me that the tires will also indicate an issue if 3 are at 35, and 1 is maybe a little higher.

So I am planning on taking them in - getting them checked - having the light reset and then asking them to turn the damn thing off.

I maybe (or the dealership) wrong - but I'm sick of it.

Out of curiosity, if you have a flat when you start driving, how long until the light would go on?

If it was really flat, you'd notice something was wrong before the warning came on.

On '03-06 Zs, there is no reading for tire pressure upon startup. Once you start driving, about a minute or so, there is a reading for tire pressure on the display. I'd guess it would take about this long for a light/warning to go off.
