I am thinking of purchaseing the JWT Pop Charger intake system for my 07 NISMO. I am very naiev to the world of tunning and Mods. I would appreciate some advice on the do's and don'ts. Particularly whether or not I will need to reprogram/flash the ECU. Additionally, should I replace the exhaust? If so, recommendations? Thanks.
i have an 07 when i first got it i bought hks hi power exhaust and aem dual intakes i traded exhaust for the nismo because its more like the z should sound and the intakes i sold and i realized my car was very quiet but sounded good in lower rpms only because my exhaust but above 4 you will not hear exhaust so i decided to buy dual pop chargers and man i love the design and they sound way... better than aem very happy with them they sound very nice and when i just cruise around my nismo exhaust is noticable but not crazy loud like hks. i would definitely buy pop chargers but dont change your exhaust except y pipe for jic

Thanks for the input! I plan to do quite a few mods on the Nismo. With any luck there will be TT available by the time I get back home for good. Again, thank you for the info and suggestions.
From all accounts, intakes won't make any power on the '07-08Zs without tuning. I believe technosquare has completed testing on their reflash, but it has yet to be released. I'm not aware of any other options as far as tuning. At this point, intakes are more about sound than anything else.
Exhausts are a personal choice, but I like the HKS, Tanabe Hyper medallion and Fujitsubo. The fast intentions exhaust is decent, but I would need larger tips. You also have the option of adding a midpipe and y-pipe to the stock exhaust. Along with high flow cats or test pipes, it should sound pretty aggressive and yield decent gains.
