No, you have to remember that smart kids don't wrap cars around trees and only drive like old people, because they respect the car that was given to them............lol, yea right

This is just as bad as the dad who's going to be buying his 17 year old son a GTR, can't wait for that crash to show up on the news

Do one thing for your son and things should be great, this summer pay for some HPDE or Driving Courses @ Mid-Ohio, this will siginificantly reduce the risk of his doing something stupid on the road when he can get it out in a safer enviroment like the track offers.

If you would like more info please pm or some other Ohio local for more info.

Dont be too worried, alot of these guys are just upset their parents didnt buy them a 40K car at 16.

True...so true, not to spill my life stories out. For my 16 birthday I was in summer school for one , and too boot when I came home that day noone was home. I was like "cool" no biggy "I'm a man". My parents, and sisters showed up around 12 in the afternoon like they just came from the mall. So you know what that means "Gifts". I rush out there semi-anxious about what's in those bags. After the smokes cleared....I got two things. One supposedly LOVE is a gift...my whole family gave me a big hug as I stood there surrounded by LOVE I was thinking of how mean/evil my father is, and said to myself that's it, all I get is a hug. No...there's more My father then pulls out this box from his bag, and says something to the effect that "dreams are for boys". I tell you I wanted to jumpKick this motherfcuker out his socks, then spinkick my sisters/mother. I did, and said nothing...I open this box to find summer lessons to fly twin prop planes, then my heart raced when I saw this horse, this black horse with a yellow back ground in this shield.....what a ferrari thingymajigg I rip apart this box to reveal a mininature 1962 Ferrari GTO along with the colone this is how I felt-----> <------I cried inside a little I wouldn't let my father know I was disturb by it so I brushed it off.

Should be a thread if it isn't already what did you get for your 16 birfday....hope yall had a good laugh...I do every time I think about it, and so does my father......

Honestly you need to let this stupid argument go. Why are you so convinced that this young driver will 100%, no questions asked crash into a tree and total thier Z. You need to stop stomping your feet and accept the fact that thier are young drivers with sports cars whether you like it or not...

I started college at 18 and had a promising future in medical sciences.
4 1/2 years later, I'm a business student hoping to graduate with my low gpa.
College hit me and it hit me good. Hopefully it won't hit your son that hard.

I graduated highschool at 18 and all I got was a used 94 toyota paseo.
Kids these days are so damn lucky...

You're right. My first car was a '99 trans-american. I did not wrap it around a tree.

I went head on into a telephone pole. Taught me a thing or two about driving.

I'm not 100% on it but kids are far more likely to wreck than adults. I think the insurance rates prove that.

I accept it, but I don't have to like it.
