Let's see.....which insurance company would write a policy for someone who is 24 and who owns a Diablo!?

I recall back in the late 80's a friend of mine working for Prudential Insurance. I had asked him about a policy for the first gen Mazda RX-7. I recall his exact words (at that time); "We do not insure RX-7s."

But, for sheeeat and giggles and to prove to these individuals how much it costs for insurance alone, I will call a few companies this week.

"Work hard." LMAO! I work hard and I don't have a Diablo!!!

Honestly, that part I don't have a hard time believing, because I know what my fiance and I have made the past few years from our business, so its not completely out of the question that someone else could do the same. Though I also know that at 24 my purchase priority isn't a lambo.

I got my nismo like a month and a half before my birthday, went to my normal insurance company, and at the age of 23, their words were "our underwriter doesn't insure hot cars to men under 25" They ended up signing off on the policy obviously, but only because I had a spotless driving record, and high credit score.

An exotic at that age though? They would have laughed in my face.

I was like for what......."$238 dollars a month" she said.....so yea I hung the phone up on her, gieco was like 188 or something like that still crazy.....

You complain that people flame. I'm not better than him, just seemingly smarter. I spun my car off the road at ZDayZ 4 years ago, dry pavement no less. I upgraded the suspension and tires, went to the track a few times, and learned how to drive within the cars, and my, limits. I didn't post up my idiocy, and I didn't repeat it immediately after getting out it out of the shop. Actually, I got through it without a scratch, lucky me. But I blamed it on my own idiocy, not on the obvious fact that the Z in the rain is not to be pushed to the limits which the OP was obviously doing. \
I have not had a "date" in 24 years but that is OK because I have been happily married for that time; my wife rocks in ways that a 19 year old would never understand and could never appreciate. I do not need some internet poser explaining Freud to me, or using it to explain why I post what I do. The only flaming I have done is in response to posers who find it necessary to embellish their posts with all of their material possessions, most of which I find both laughable and unbelievable. Like, does anyone here know the guy with the yacht and the "fleet"? Of course not, it doesn't exist.
The original facts remain the same - kid crashes his Z twice in the rain in one month, could have easily killed someone, including himself, in both instances, and probably should get some remedial driving instruction before he gets behind the wheel again. and that is absolutely nothing to be proud of. Nice guy or not, he is a loaded cannon. And I will go out on a limb and say emphatically that no 19 year old can afford to drive a Nismo Z unless he has some type of outside financial support. Unless of course he lives in the car, drives without insurance, and eats out of the Dumpsters. Given his driving history, whoever is paying for his lifestyle is doing him no favor whatsoever, and if he gets another Nismo, we can all wait for the thread "20 year old dies, takes out family of four in the process".

Wow. Owned with class.

Wow, this thread has made me feel good about being 34 years old = Insurance < $65 per month.

Otherwise, R.I.P Little Nismo 623...and on a positive note my car's value just went up

You can probably plan on about 20-40% of these car disappearing in the next 10 years and 10 years on from that...that same ratio will be all the Nismos left in the US.

Ouch, those pics hurt. Poor NISMO 0623

So, I went around the roundabout where this happened and I didn't see any skid marks. Base on the fact the NISMO's right front is damaged, either the OP or the SUV had to cross the centerline if the accident occurred as he described it. Or the accident occurred at the roundabout but who really knows.
I am not going to bash the guy. He lost his NISMO.

I love how this kid pretends it isn't HIS fault AT ALL. If you already had one accident, take a fuggin hint and realize the car is beyond your means to drive safely.

I feel pity for the nice Nismo, not the moron behind the wheel.

I know.

I would have kept throwing kerosene in the fire, ate the OP, his family, registered on the Indy Z site and ate all them too, including Mrs. 280ZXT...
