Nissan told me they I could bring my own oil instead of charging me 100 bucks for a syntheic oil change, and they would just charge me labor and filter

For those of you with NISMOs Are you running 5W 30 or 10W 30. I was just going to go to target and pick up 5 Liters of Mobil 1 for one or the other depending on responses. Is 5 liters correct for the 07 engine?

Is there anything I need to know other than the Viscocity of the oil. ex ( Experation dates, how long its been sitting on a shelf at Target, etc.) And how much am I looking at spending for 5 liters?

bring them 5 liters of 5w30 and you're set. should cost no more than $20-25. (I get it done at a local nissan dealership too)

i get 6 liters of mobil 1 for $30

Take it to walmart.. They charge 9 dollars to add your own supplied oil and filter.

 

I just went to Target and got 5 Quarts of Mobil 1 5W30 for about 30 bucks

Nissan rapes you for synthetic oil, the labor is only like 20 according to my last oil change.

They said it would take 45 minutes. That seems like a long time to change oil

 

That is very long for an oil change but it's a dealership.. What do you expect?

 

Try ENEOS 5w-30 next time, you have to buy a case which is six qt but everything I have researched and been told about this oil, it is the best for the nissan 350Z but you cant buy it at TARGET or WALMART sorry.... try your local speedshop.
