No More Nismos?????
This post proves you have no clue what you are talking about. You obviously have never driven the NISMO Z either to be saying stuff like this.
The NISMO 350Z has a different muffler. It isn't even close to the stock muffler in size, looks, or sound. Yes the car handles much better. As some owners have said after seeing my car rip through the tracks and hill country, it handles like it is on rails.
Another 350Z owner had S-Tune suspension on his car, with many other mods. In a 20 minute session I almost lapped him. He was only 50 yards in front of me before the lights said to come in each session. And I started behind him and passed him in the first lap. He also was completely shocked and he races at tracks all the time.

I havent seen one anywhere else than sitting in car shows and mall parking lots! Do you think its just a coinsidence that the Track model was discontinued at the exact same time as the Nismo's introduction? Do you think if someone bought a GT model (for the Brembos) and lost the leather seats for a cheap set of cloth and added an actuall R-Tune Nismo suspension, actual R-Tune exhaust, and a set of 18" Nismo lightwieght wheels that on a road track your Nismo Edt would blow it out off of the track????? Im 100% sure every Nismo Edt owner is going to say yes but in the back of your mind you dont have any idea! IMO having the actual R-tune components that I listed would give an advantage to the GT model only because they are actual race parts!!!! Not a hybrid suspension between a factory and the R-tune, and you experts have to know that the exhaust in your Nismo Edt's are the exact same as what comes in every other model 350z except for larger Diameter tips with Nismo on them! Agian you guys dont realize that I read alot!!!! And again, that I am not trying to bash your car by no means! I just want an owner to explain why there z is so superior to another model if all they use it for is daily driving? And that the biggest desicion maker for the purchase of a Nismo Edt is the fact that its a numbered car! And special for that reason! If it was just another model line instead of only 1500 would everyone of you still have bought one? No one was running out and buying track models when they were still available, on paper they were faster (Lighter, Brembo's) than any other models available! Think about it! Maybe if Nissan would have only made 1500 of them you all would have bought a track model instead! Who can argue with that?

He said he could get anything off of the nismo edt. Apperantly he has had other people ask about it. I dont think he has sold any of it though.
Hah, if you would've bought that AE back in '05, you would've been so pissed when the '06s out. I remember so many people were grumbling about that one. Especially when those wheels were available on the base model. I loved the yellow though. Traded my '04 base model for an '05 enthusiast model and had the s-tune package thrown on it.
Several of the reasons I had for upgrading to my Nismo don't apply to you since the '06s have the nicer interior, headlights, and taillights. But if you're going to stay NA like me and just do some bolt-ons, it's definately worth it to trade up for the HR engine. But taking the '05 and updating the headlights/taillights/interior, slapping on a couple more bolt-on mods, and wanting to upgrade to the Brembo brakes just because they look better, it made more sense to just get a new car with all that stuff on it and have an engine that's better than a DE engine with all the r-tune components. And I like the look of Nismo better than the s-tune car.
If you want to compare the better choices of trim level/engine and all that throughout the years, then there's room to argue everything. But with just looking at the '07 and '08 model years, if you like the look of the Nismo, prefer a manual tranny, have the extra money to spend, you might as well just get it because it costs far more to come as close as you can to replicating it than just getting it. Upgrading to leather upholstry, changing the stereo, and adding Navigation is going to cost less than buying the Factory Nismo's spoilier.

It is not a cheap knockoff. It is the real deal from a Nissan dealer. My friend is also the parts manager and gives me 25% off parts. He told me $520 for the front bumper cover. So yes your parts manager friend is WRONG.

I'm pretty sure www.mynismo.com used to have the spoiler listed on their site for something like $2500 dollars, but I can't find it now. I'm sure if you PM'd one of they guys that works there, they'd probably quote pretty close to that.

Does nobody have insurance??? If the bumper costs so much, claim it! I hit something in my BMW and it damaged two rims, one tire, the side trim and the jacking point. My deductable is only $250 and my insurance paid for the rest and my premium stayed the same. I guess it's just me.......
Anyway, I love my NIMSO! Jealousy will get you no where!

This guy does not know anything
.
What makes NISMO 350z, Diffrent is that fact it's the only 350z ever to have Autech touch and Tune for NISSAN.
Anyone who follows the GT500 knows about what Autech does for Nissan.

Bottom line is, we are all Z brothers! So, let's just watch a race that we could all agree on.....

For sure the car is set up well beyond even a track model, but this said, there were room for improvemets simply because Autech/Nissan wanted to ensure the "average buyer" would be happy driving the car around town.
Personally, I switched out the suspension and increased wheel/tire width in order to feel what is really behind the Nismo. I believe performing mods that enhance what the vehicle already is...only gives you more of a true experience. Consequently, the Nismo handles much better with adjustable coilovers. Add that to more traction and its seam-welded frame...mmmmm...you have a cornering beast.
