Default Nismo oil filters are different?

sup folks instead of going out tonight i decided to change oils in my cars, and when i removed the oil, to my surprise it was the dreaded Nissan filters (i searched google and a few things came up that wasn't very good), it was a filter made from a company called Nippon (made in japan).

funny thing is my last oil change i brought in to Nissan to do it and the tech drew a smiley face with Hayai and some chinese characters on the filter, must've been an inside joke among the techs

but anyway, have any one of changed your own oil after you had nissan changed yours and noticed the same time? or was it just a filter with "nissan" on it?

K&N oil filters are good.

The only time the dealer changed my oil, nothing extra was written on the filter.
