Default Are my brakes going?

About how long do the brembo's last?

Lately I have noticed I need more pedal travel to engage the brakes.

My car has about 9000 miles on it now, and I drive it relatively hard. Probably pushing it to the equivalent of an auto X event on empty back roads. It also sees a fair share of stop and go Boston traffic as well.

If anyone is in a similar situation, what's the status of your breaks?

Thanks

-Nick

wasnt there a huge class action concerning the brembo brake's life expectancy, that they gave out WAY too soon, and there were replacements given out

If that's true /\/\/\/\/\ then it makes a lot of sense. My brakes, too, have been feeling not like they did when they were brand new. I've got ~9500 miles on my car now, and it seems like I gotta apply a little more brake. If anyone has anymore info on this, that would be sweet.

They make a squeeking noise when breaking at very low speeds, which has been happening since almost day 1. I think this is a common random issue, maybe break dust or something.

I have also been driving a bunch of different cars which all have different break pressure, which could very well be the problem .

I guess my real question is: How long will the breaks last doing a 60-0 stop nearly every day?

There is one road by my house which is phenominal. After the twistys there is a sharp turn which I take, so I apply the breaks hard before reaching the turn.

That road makes the car worth every penny
