Fun Experiment Nismo 350Z v.s. Grand Touring 350Z
I always wondered how much the extras added to the Nismo actually help performace over the standard 350Z (grand touring) for example.
Most of us have only noticed the difference in a short test drive or daily driving. But how much of a difference does the extra stiff suspension, Yamaha dampers, seam welded chassis, and aero kit really help the Nismo under racing conditions.
This experiment (subject to your own belief in this) will make you say wow they do make a difference.
This may sound like a goofy experiment to some and I am sure I am going to get flak for it.... But before you comment try it out for yourself and see if you can feel the difference
Required Equiptment
Xbox 360
Forza 2
Racing Wheel / pedals
....Yea thats right just bear with me here
1) Go to arcade mode and do a free run with a regular 2007 Grand Touring 350Z under the "C" class. Run the Nuremberg Ring and record your time.
2) Go to career mode and get about 30,000 credits
3) Buy a 2007 Grand Touring 350Z
4) Go to buy upgrades and buy:
-A) One increase to Springs/dampers (the one after stock) (takes Nismos 35% stiffer springs into considerations)
-B) One increase to Anti Roll Bars (Substitue for seam welded chassis)
-C) Add complete "Forza" aero kit (front splitter, wing, rear bumper/diffuser)
-D) Buy Spare tire and battery weight reduction (Brings weight close to the 3335 lbs which Nismo weighs)
-I did not adjust anything tuning wise, such as tire pressure, downforce weight (left aero kit downforce weight default), camber or anything like that.
5) Save the car with these upgrades
6) Go back to arcade mode and select "cars from your garage"
7) Select your 350Z
8) Run the Nuremberg Ring
9) Record your time
My findings: I noticed the Z with the upgrades "Nismo" if you will, was a rediculous amount more stable than the standard Grand Touring and you can really tell how much the "upgrades" and downforce helps in the corners. I was about 15 seconds faster with the "Nismo"
I also ran it with a ghost on. In this scenario you could see the standard 350Z pull ahead off the bat and on the straights due to having less downforce than the "Nismo". Then the "Nismo" just destroys it when you get to the twisty part of the track.
Give it a try let me know what you think
Now let me just jump into flame retardent suit, because omg you noob Forza is a game its not real life, your such a douch

Mid A people did the skyline drive this fall. There was Stillen supercharged Z in front of me and a Nismo in back of me. I was definitely in the Nismos way around every turn and i couldnt see the stillen on the straight.

If you wreck the Nismo in turn 1 can you pull out the win? Thats what i would do. Hooray for the reset button
