A few updates to the Nismo
Here are a couple of photos of the items that I have added. Everything I have done can be reversed and all of the original parts are stored. I have not altered a single original part on the car. New replacements have been purchased if something needed to be altered. No holes have been dirlled in the car durning any modifications.
My list of Nissan 350Z Nismo Modifications:
Nismo Parts:
21200-RSZ30 Competition Low-Temp thermostat opens at 154 degrees vs 175
21430-RS012 Racing Radiator Cap
16576-RNZ38 Cold Air Intake
38351-350DK Finned aluminum differential cover kit, includes stud and breather kit
99996-Z3344 NISMO Touring 2 Brake Duct Kit
56218-RRZ30 Hard Rubber upper shock absorber bushing
55045-RRZ30 Hard Rubber upper rear A arm bushing
34101-Z3303 Adjustable short shifter kit, 4 positions,+20%,0%,-20% and -40%
C2865-1EA010US NISMO aluminum Shift **** (Black)
NISMO Brushed stainless license plate frame
NISMO New style oil cap
STILLEN:
308336 Rear Camber Arm Brace
308366 lower Control Arm Brace
TANABE
23-4237 Tanabe Front Under Brace
CUSTOM:
Red Aluminum 1.5 Ton Tow Hook
The lower engine cover just has a nismo brake cooling kit installed in it. The part number is listed above, but if you want I can direct you to a sight that sells all of the exact same parts for no where near the money you will pay for the Nissan kit. I was pretty pissed when it arrived at the dealer in its little Nismo box and it was a bunch of off the shelf parts, not Nissan tooled parts.

thanks i started searching and found tanabe's on z-1... the only thing is that they say its for 03-06... does it even matter?
that is a nice set-up, and i cant even imagine it being stiffer around turns...

How's the finned diff cover? I was thinking about getting it and was wondering whether it was a pretty straight-forward install or not. That and I've never seen that brake duct kit before... any info on that?
Thanks guys I really appreciate the complements. As for the Nismo parts, I buy them all from Dick Scott Nissan in Canton Michigan. They treat me really well.
I told myself when i purchased the car that I would not do anything to compromise the originality or collectability of the car. So every mod I do must be a bolt on. All of the original parts from the car are stored in boxes in my attic. I doubt I will ever part with the car, but I am **** that way. So if someone should ever get my car, they will also get all the original parts.
The finned rear diff cover is sitting in a box and looks really nice, a lot like the Nissan Titan finned diff cover. I was going to put it on last weekend, but it looks like you have to drop the rear end to get the stock cover off (the ring gear may be rough to get the cover past with the diff in the car). My dealership will be taking care of it for me, just so I dont void any warranty. So, next Monday I will post pics of it installed.

Hi guys,
Here are all the components that NISSAN sells for their brake cooling kit I have listed above. I was pissed to see the Butler Built embossed in the ducts and the hose is just high temp duct hose sold on this sight here.
The ducts are BUT7024

Hopefully it will save you some money, god knows I was taken to the bank by Nissan.

Same question as sensi09 with the tanabe brace and also, for the stillen bars, any issues with alignment when you installed these bars? awesome setup btw, ordered mine a couple days ago and the possible scraping idea is killing me since the car is a bit low already.
I have to be honest. I have not driven the car since putting them on last weekend. I am about to find out tonight. I will be taking it to my dealer for a full 4 wheel alignment. I did index all of the cams on the rear suspension before I loosened any bolts, and I am dead on each of the marks, but with the price of tires being what they are I am taking the car in to have the alignment done just in case. I am use to very low cars, my Dodge Neon RT sat 3" off the ground, so I am pretty careful also the Vector sits 4" off the ground. So low cars are par for the course around here.
I will let you know how thing go, the dealership is 45 miles away so I should get 90 miles on tonight and see how it is.

Added a couple of items to the car since the last post. I have updated the list. I have some bad news, when we put the car on the alignment rack there are a couple of issues with the stock suspension that I am not happy about. The limited adjustability made for some compromisies when setting up the suspension. So now I have to order a bunch of adjustable suspension parts. So far when driving the car around town there have been no issues with the Tanabe underbody brace scraping pavement. I will keep you posted as things progress.
